It feels like I delivered a baby through my abdomen.
endless80 replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Weird, 2 days after I posted this the pain just went away. My abdomen isnt sore anymore but it's still a little weak. I've been walking everyday and it's been getting much better. -

I have Anthem BC/BS as well. But I'm in Georgia so I don't know if there's a difference. They approved me no problem or questions asked as long as I did everything they required. -

That dimple on me is a huge indenture. When I sleep on my side its uncomfortable because it feels like a weight it dangling under the skin. Weird. -
It feels like I delivered a baby through my abdomen.
endless80 replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The last 3 days have been great. The pain went away for the most part. My abdomen, albeit out of pain is still compromised a little bit and weak but I finally feel like a human again. -
I bought this one and it works amazingly well. I can step on it numerous times and get the same number. It was cheap and works great. http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Bathroom-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379649252&sr=8-2&keywords=scale

Have you ever slightly sped up your food stages?
endless80 replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what I thought, I am eating slow and chewing completely through. My stomach doesnt hurt. -
Have you ever slightly sped up your food stages?
endless80 replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And you see, that's the weird thing. Every doctors office has their own special "rules" and regulations. I have talked to pleanty of people who started eating cottage cheese on the 7th day. Technically I can eat this in a few days, I'm just speeding it up a little bit. Thank you for your input. -
Stay clear of Bariatric Choice Berry flavored. They are disgusting.

The skinny on $$$
endless80 replied to neverbehindu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
About $1600 so far out of pocket. I know I will have the hospitals 20% appearing any time now. My deductible was $1100 and I had to pay 20% to my surgeon before the surgery. Plus all of the copays and stuff... so right now, sitting at about $1600. But for a $20,000 surgery, not too shabby I must say. -
I think for me the judgement I feel for the most part is internal. Also, I won't wolerate anyone degrading my progress by attributing any successes I have soley to the sleeve. As if I sat around passively waiting to lose weight rather than playing an active roll, along with my sleeve, to weight loss and better health. This is an act of sabbatoge and the second I see it I nip it in the bud.

slowly inching to a commitment to surgery....
endless80 replied to atlchick's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
It could, I'm 8 days post op and for a minute I really regretted it. Just think carefully about this. There is no turning back. -
What do you "eat" during liquid stage?
endless80 replied to atlchick's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Clear liquids: Water, sf Jello, Protein mixes with almond milk or soy, diluted apple juice, sf Popsicles, broth. Full liquids: all above, tomato soup, strained soup... I tried to eat liquified (in my ninja) chilli tonight but my stomach didn't like because too spicy, yogurts, sf pudding thinned out etc -
Post op day 1 question
endless80 replied to slvrwng's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, perfectly normal. Same thing happened to me to the letter. -
does anyone know if they drug test before surgery?
endless80 replied to AbsoluteEnvy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I told my surgeon I smoked and he said don't smoke 2 weeks before or after. That's all. They don't care. -
Ramen noodles without the noodles?
endless80 replied to birdmadgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first time it was chicken broth, the smell repulsed me. I had to dump it because I knew I would vomit. The next broth I tried was the French Onion broth with all of the onions strained. I got two sips down and my stomach just turned. But to heck with broth... I'm on full liquids now and had the most wonderful tomato Soup ever. -
Finally a week out and able to start full liquids. Had some tomato soup today with basil and it was .... AWESOME. Just what I needed mentally to keep going.

Ramen noodles without the noodles?
endless80 replied to birdmadgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What's weird is I am not able to handle broth post surgery. I've tried twice and both times I almost threw up. It's the ONLY thing I've had an adverse response to. -
Getting my sleeve Oct 11th and Afraid of the liquid diet
endless80 replied to NewGirl83's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was on clear liquids for 2 days before surgery and I lost almost 20 pounds. The clear liquids faze really sucks. -
420 and gastric sleeve
endless80 replied to AbsoluteEnvy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's any marijuana really (legal or not). 420 is just a way of not saying it. -
I don't like keeping secrets because I am not ashamed of my decision. At first I romantisized keeping this whole thing a secret, even from my mother but then I thought against it because if anything happened while I was having surgery it wouldnt be fair to her that she at least didnt know. I struggled with that for a while. But I strive to live a transparent life and in that transparancy there may be oppurtunities to touch other people's lives with my story. I already have, twice (that I know of) and at the end of the day... people greivances about my decisions have nothing to do with me. So I do my best not to concern myself with them. It makes for a much happier me.
