    feeling frustrated

Nah, I gained a pound this week. Then 2-3 days later lost 2. It's normal. Just water fluctuations.
  2. Starbucks will get you every single time! Now when I walk into Starbucks I say "I know now all of it cant be but make this drink as sugar free as possible" and the barista is super cool and does. The calories and sugar in the drink are cut by 2/3rds and I drink it. Of course I only get a tall.

    Morning Nausea?

YES! And this will (for the most part) pass. It took me till about week 4-5 for it to pass and I still have it a little when I eat but it gets easier every single day.
  4. I would never follow that advice. I eat when I am hungry, no more, no less. If I am hungry, I eat. If I am thirsty, I drink (except when I am eating). I could be getting over 800 or I might not be, I don't count calories. I am at 6 weeks and 55 pounds down. Free yourself from the burden of dieting. That's why I got the sleeve in the first place. Balance is key now.
  5. Some people still feel hunger, some don't. I was one of those who feel hunger. You just have to deal with it as best as you can.

    Regular food...

I'm 6 weeks and I am eating regular food now.
  7. My doctor gave me pictures of mine. Is that normal?
  8. I say (non)guilty pleasure food because I refuse to feel guilty for consuming this. I eat only a small fraction of what I used to and I limit these to only 1 a week but they are seriously responsible for keeping my mind sane and balanced on this entirely new way of living I have adopted recently. Also, my weight loss has not stopped even after I consume these (at least for right now). So what is your indulgence food (or drink)? About once a week I stop by Starbucks and get a tall (smallest size) Salty Caramel Mocha Frappachino with no whipped cream and made with Organic Soy Milk, sometimes with an extra shot of espresso. My tummy doesn't mind it at all, which is a little weird to me because it minds other more healthy things... lol.
  9. Awesome!! Great job. I thought I was losing fast but you're doing amazing.
  10. Great idea Jerseygirl!

    Sleeve stretched?

Come to think of it, I'm 6 weeks out today and I've never felt full drinking anything really. You didn't stretch your sleeve out.
  12. HAHAHA! I was thinking the SAME THING!

    sick of not loosing

Have you ever watched the Biggest Loser? If you havent you would be happy to know that there are contestants on that show that will eat 1200 calories a day and burn upwards of 10,000 calories a day and by the end of the week for some reason or another will have lost 1, maybe 2 poiunds and in MANY cases will have gained a pound or two as well when they should have lost 10+ pounds mathmatically. You weren't sold a scam. Your body will do what your body does in time.
  14. I am not weighing myself this week. I've started weighing myself daily and it's become an obsession to do it every morning.

  15. I've been getting kind of tired of cottage cheese but I enjoy the protein boost it gives me. Yesterday I sprinkled a little bit of honey on mine and it was delicious. I imagine you can do the same with Ricotta.
  16. You can try gas X but whey protein always gave me the worst gas as well.
  17. Now that's my kind of meal! I've only managed to get 4 chicken wings down so far and that takes an hour. lol
  18. I have an adverse reaction to aspartame so I cannot even drink Crystal Light. Aspartame is really a harmful poison.
  19. I totally feel you about the full fat versions of foods. I eat so little now that I don't worry at all about eating full fat mayo or salad dressings. In fact, the lower fat counterparts of these foods are higher in sugar and salt to balance flavor (and don't succeed) so the full fat versions are better for you.
  20. Bacon is delicious but since I've been sleeved I made the choice to stop eating both pork and beef so no more bacon for meeeeee. Now turkey bacon is good but not the same however, if I'm in a bacon pickle I can always just use that.

    When can i eat salad?

One of my friends who is sleeved has been eating salad since week 6 and she is fine. I plan on starting some raw veggies within this week (I am 5.5 weeks out). I miss salads as well.
  22. A month seems to be the general consensus. It also depends on what you mean when you say normal... the pain subsided for me around week 2. Eating wise, I am starting to feel the most normal now... around week 5ish.
  23. Well lets try to be proactive and avoid that as much as possible because that sounds like it's going to hurt more than the pain you're in right now. You should be able to take liquids in at this point. Maybe a call to your surgeon tomorrow is in order to let them know where you're at in 2 weeks. You should be further along drinking liquids wise. Perhaps you not being able to take in liquids means you're dehydrated already and it's slowing down your recovery (which will and does happen, often).
  24. oh no! The only thing you should be worried about right now is staying hydrated! I had buyers remorse... well hell at 5.5 weeks out I still do a little but trust me it's getting easier every single day. And I didn't have the issues you're having so I imagine you feel a little defeated right now. Hang in there and keep drinking, slowly. You don't want a trip into the ER for bags of Fluid. It's expensive and a pain the butt. You've got this.

    Day 5 post op

Yes the burping will continue for a while. Even at 5.5 weeks I still have some air in there. But it does go down and the frequency at which you will experience the air will decrease.
