2 months post op - less than 15lbs lost

Its definitely normal to go through many stalls which can sometimes last a few weeks. Your body is resisting. I had lots of stalls early on and I was a slower loser than others too. That being said, Its important to track all your calories and Water intake at the early stages so you can see how many calories you are actually eating. I know I was very surprised on the amount of calories I was actually eating vs what I thought I was eating. This is helpful so when you get into the stalls you can see the progress and see when you had the most successful weight loss...what you were eating and doing during those times.
  2. I weighed 255 (my highest ever-had had a baby and never lost the weight). I lost about 11 pounds before surgery (did not work on it very long before surgery). I knew I could lose it on my own if I wanted but I was tired of going up and down up and down. I knew this would help keep it off. Im a little over a year out and happy to say I have kept it off. Yes, I try to eat variety and not feel deprived also. I try to eat half of the bread on a sandwich-stuff like that. Good luck!
  3. Which type of Silk'n are you using. I went on their site and see 2 different kinds. Does the one for acne work? my son keeps breaking out! Thanks
  4. I would like to add, probably not a good idea to remove unless you have to. There are side effects of dealing with not having your gall bladder that are not very pleasant so you would probably want to avoid. My neice had to have hers removed (nothing to do with VSG) and food goes right through her now....mucho bathroom breaks...trying not to be too descriptive here
  5. Mine was not removed. I have been out 1 yr and 1mos and have not had any gall bladder issues. Didn't have any prior to surgery either.

    Not losing :(

You seemed to have lost a lot pre op so it seems that the quick stuff already came off pre op...the Water weight. After you lose the water weight, it does go slower. Also, since you were sleeved so recently you may have got in a stall. A lot of people stall around week 3 and takes a bit for your body to adjust then it starts to go down again. 10lbs is 10lbs...at least its going down! Keep up your spirits and I agree with others, you must get the nutrition and calories in or your body will fight you for every lb....starvation mode.
  11. Ok, I don't think I have gone over 1200. Last time I tracked I was usually around 900-1100 max but I have not been tracking lately so I started tracking again today. As of right now I have only had 566 calories and still have dinner and probably snack left for the day. Last night I started jogging again but only was 30 min. Gonna try and do that every day this week and gradually build it up as well as get back on track in the gym. Probably just got copacetic in everything so trying to vamp back up by making goals again with exercise and food...only 20lbs from my first real goal so would love to hit that by the end of summer. I usually do more Protein than carbs so maybe I need to increase the carbs for more energy. I'll see where I am at this week by looking at my tracking. I will try and make notes as to the days I had more energy and see where my protein and carb levels have been. I haven't been good about taking my Vitamins so Im sure that is part of it too. Started back on those yesterday, seems to have helped a little. Thanks all!

    I can cross my legs!

This was one of my small victories as well...feels great!
  13. I am 7 mos out and I have done great so far but I am not sure I am eating the right amount of calories as I am often too tired to try and exercise. I just don't feel "energetic" as some have mentioned feeling at this point. Any suggestions from those that are losing steadily or about the same time out as me? I have lost about 70 lbs since surgery. I plan to revamp to get back on track for goal. One of my plans is to go back to logging my food but wasn't sure how many calories to aim for. I know its much more than I was aiming for when I initially had surgery. I am slowly getting my exercise increase as well so any suggestions is helpful. Thanks!!

Congrats! I read many of your posts when I was deciding on surgery in Oct. So glad to see you have done so well.
