Maybe you are at the dreaded 3 week stall period? I haven't got that far but others have said that is around the time for a stall.

It could be from gas pain. I had mine about same time as you but I kept continuously taking sips even though it hurt and it eased up as the day progressed and next day. Now it does hurt if I drink too quickly too.

Congrats! Can you tell us newbies anything you learned along the way that helped you so fast?!

Ok, went to the store and bought the following for the trip, anything I am missing? : gas X strips, hidden wallet for passport/money to wear for the trip, small pillow, some extra bandages and antiseptic spray (for trip home?), travel toiletries, baby wipes, loose pajamas for hotel. I already have an extension cord/Ipad/phone/laptop type stuff. I think I am just going to pack enough for a carry on and one small string bag for the plane.

I was thinking of joining one but I was worried that they could see my posts on the side of FB?...you know where other people can see what you "like" and make comments on, even if they are not the same friends?

I am bummed you didn't make it either, missed my sleeve buddy! I got home last night and had to work today, a little weird but I am adjusting. Just hard to figure out what to eat now since its liquids only for a bit! I feel better than I thought I would

I don't see as much feedback about Dr. Lopez? Are his sleeve sizes the same as Dr. Garcia? I see a lot of positive feedback about Dr. Garcia but I am leaning toward Puerto Vallarta location and he is not doing surgeries there right now. Also, what ways are you guys researching besides word of mouth on this forum. I have tried googling the doctors names and don't have much luck finding anything out except their own websites. I don't mind calling them to ask questions but I feel better if I can find information on them from independent 3rd party sources. Here is the states there are a lot of ways to find out how safe a doctor is, etc and since I am not familiar with Mexico's ways of tracking safety- I feel lost. I did find a way to see if a hospital meets the National certification but I don't see any TJ hospitals on the list.

This thread is hilarious. I am not sleeved yet so its good to know that cheating may happen and not to beat myself up too much. Today was hard. I am on the pre-op diet and only eating 2-3 protein shakes and one salad/protein meal and all I have been thinking about is food! Stupid lady at work is planning the food for some work function they are catering and she was literally on the phone with some food place for 30 min talking about all the food-REALLY loud too. It was driving me crazy!!! I made it though, Whew!!

Hubby cant go and we have a 2 yr old that he will stay with at home. But he really didn't want me to go alone. We were thinking at least my 13 yr old could be around in case of emergency where he could call or get help if I needed it? Like if I am in the hotel alone and something happens

I haven't had the surgery yet but from reading yes, people gain water wait initially then lose it like the next week

Will I need a plug converter or is it the same aa it is in US?

If you are only 2-3 weeks post op I would think that would be pretty abrasive on your healing tummy. Its pretty acidic?

No, I only have purchased a ticket for myself right now. Just thought it would be good to have some one who can fetch drinks, etc around the room for me while I am there. I am not really worried about myself but would be nice to have a friendly face while there. He is almost 14 but not sure that I will bring him. I wouldn't have time to bring someone else and I am not telling a lot of people about it and then only a few afterwards.

Ah, I did get some of that too! I forgot it on my list but I bought some. I saw so many people say that they needed it. Thanks again!

Ok, thanks. When I go to get my Cashier's check I will have them give me some small bills.

Every time I read a positive result or see result pictures I complete one more step! Beginning of last week I requested the time off of work. Then Friday I requested my date to be held. Then tonight I put the request for my 401k loan. Ok, so next goal is to send my form and deposit in. Then buy my plane ticket. Then start buying necessities for the trip. Im getting there, just slow! One negative story makes me nervous and stops me for a day or two. Then I just get remotivated thinking of how my life COULD change for the better!
