Montereygrl replied to laffypatty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are possibly starving your body. I wasn't eat more than 500 calories the first couple weeks and my doctor told me I was starving my body. I had to force myself to eat more calories. Call your NUT or doctor. -
Eating every two hours?
Montereygrl replied to a_jap21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From once a day eating to feeling like I'm eating/drinking all the time. But my pre op program said, from the time I get up to the time I go to bed I'd be consuming, get used to it. I guess I didn't think she meant literally. -
I can finally say it

Yay, welcome to the loser bench. 3 weeks post op and have yet to regret one moment. Listen to the doctors and remember it's mostly mental at this stage. You can do it. -

Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
Montereygrl replied to janie2024's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd call my doc or nut then, vitamins are so important. I have a good friend that had bypass, a couple years into it she stopped taking her vitamins and ended up needing a transfusion. Dr told her that vitamins are for life in people that choose bariatric surgery. God luck. -

Need your opinion ASAP!

Maybe place a quick call to him and tell him you are struggling again. You really need him to clarify if he thinks that this trip in its self won't cause you problems. -
13 hours to GO

Good luck with your surgery. Yes tell your doctor if you are having pain pre surgery, you should never hide information from your dr. -

Did your doctor physically check you? I would hope that he would say its too soon if that is th case. I'm three weeks post surgery Tues. I get weak and tired easily, I'm still eating only puréed food and scrambled eggs. are you going to a country where you feel comfortable seeking medical attention if needed? I think that your doctor is the best qualified to help you make the final choice though. -
Today is my 3rd day after the sleeve and cant get not even 50g of protein! Help!
Montereygrl replied to AdrianaNaji's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like the fruit punch and grape isoprene, they have smaller 6 oz bottles, try those if you can find them. Try alternating water, protein, water, protein. -
As promised, second walk of the day done. Needed to do something to walk off the frustration of those last two minutes of play....I love my Cowboys but dang I get frustrated.

So throwing this out there for you veteran Sleevers, have any of you tried the cauliflower/cheese pizza crust? I'm looking forward to when I can actually chew my food. Lol -
Got my first 20 minute walk in between the morning game and my beloved Cowboys game. I'm sure I will get more exercise in yelling and throwing my arms up durning the game.

And what kind of activity level were you at. As soon as I drop some more weight I'm going to start to joke, with long term goal, half marathon next year. Short term, 5k Thanksgiving fun run walk. And amaybe a 10k for Run for the new year.

Day 4 and lots of Nausea
Montereygrl replied to pink303's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Headache for me was caused by too few calories post surgery. I've heard a lot of people say alcohol pads under your nose helps with nausea. For me, I usually grab a SF Popsicle and it helps me, -

I know a couple people who ended up with stricture. I'd call my doc just to make sure. Also, if you had a hernia repair, it could just be some post ops swelling and your body telling you to sip slower.
