How nice to be a part of such a great forum, people here share ideas that are life savers, thanks to everyone for there ability and willingness to help and encourage others.

Started at 332, size 32 pants 3 x shirt now 11 months post opt large shirt 16 pants 10/ 12 dress.

I am currently in the consults stage , I have met with two different surgeons and the last consult I had just submitted my paperwork to the insurance. I am learning if you are considering any type of plastic surgery to do your home work, and check with your insurance company prior to setting up appointments. I also learned that if your selected surgeon is in your insurance plan is quicker, for a referral for surgery and prices will different. One surgeon gave me a written quote for 16.500 and that included a body life, tummy tuck as well as breast lift, she was not in my plan so everything would have been paid by me, the other surgeon quoted me roughly 9000 for everything with the exception of the body lift in which he said I did not need. I am going to wait and see what my insurance says because they informed me they cover my tummy tuck. So if i later decide on a breast lift I will be saving my pennies. Hi it depends on your insurance requirement my insurance required a mandatory 6 month requirement along with various test , I started the entire thing with a seminar back in August 2014 and do to long waiting lit for my surgeon I did not have my procedure done until May 2014. I though it too forever but the time allowed me to learn a lot about myself my true friends and make the necessary changes in my life such as getting rid of bad foods, beginning an exercise program, and learning why I was an emotional eater as well as just stress and comfort eater good luck. Total time from start to finish was 10 months.

i am 11 months post opt and i do not dump on anything, but I make sure that I eat in small amounts get my Protein, Water, and Vitamins in and I do hold myself accountable for all of my actions as I recored everything that goes into my body. Good luck and congrats on your choice on being healthy.

Momfromjersey2 I have blue are network of mi , they approved my referral to meet with my last surgeon but the surgeon said if they approved the tummy tuck the tighting would be an additional $3500 dollars because insurance only givers the removal of the skin not tighting . Thanks for your respond have you ever heard of this ?

My baractric life I'm going to see the sergeon told me today I don't have enough tissue to require a reduction because they gave to take off so many something , but I'm going to double check again thanks .

To I thanks for sharing I had my last consult today, everything has been submitted to insurance now the waiting game begins . I think I'm going to do the tummy tuck first then a breast lift next year . I'm hoping to have the tummy tuck done after June because I'm in a wedding . Thanks for sharing .

Congrats I know just how you feel I have not been buying anything else but dress because I feel so beautiful that I look good in them with my high heel shoes again. I find my self wearing wearing a dress to work at least 2- 3 ties per week LOL.

First I would like to say that you came to the right forum for help, take a deep breath you got this , congrats on your choice to being healthy and I agree with the above statements your current medications you will either decrease that bill or those illness will disappear after you have the surgery. There are alternatives to those expensive Vitamins that you are referring to and when I first started i paid over $200.00 the first month and stock up on unjury and didnt even use it because my taste buds change after surgery resulting with me seeking out alternatives Protein, and I love premiere Protein shakes that you can by at Sams Club , cosco and other venders. Do not stock up on protein shakes because your taste buds will change. Good luck you got this and get us posted.

And I agree that having this surgery has become a life saver, I came home without all meds as well and I am loving my new chance on life.
