I agree with earlier posts , this forum has been a great support for me I too have to loose 20 pounds and I have just began me 6 month requirements, I have begun sampling different protein drinks, increase my water , as well as I am off all carbonation drinks. Just remember you are striving for a new healthier you. I have also register for my first Zumba class.

Lol yes I want everyone to see especially my girlfriend who needs the surgery also but makes excuses hopefully she will see my journal and just do it as she states.

Yes I have Bluecare network in Mi and they are ver strict with your pcp appointments if theybare not consecutive for 6 months straight you have to restart all over again.

Hi I just met with my second surgeon today at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and I was told that even though I am completing my 6 month requirements that they used your start weight for your insurance because they know that most doctors required you to try and loose weight before your surgery. I hope this helps.

I agree with the above statements you need to be comfortable, with your PCP. I just got a new PCP and they are slow with completing my doctor approval letter since I have just began seeing them. I requested that my last doctor complete a letter as well do to the fact that I have been with them for over 15 years. I was going to have the sleeve procedure but my surgeon said he believes I would benefit more with the gasytric bypass do to my health issues . I was also a little bit bum to know it will take 6 months as a required from my insurance to pay 100 percent of everything. Thanks for listening.
