Baconville that's great congrats besides eating right are you still getting in your 60-75 grams of protein a day ? Have you incorporated exercise , my day was changed to May 19 and I am focusing on ensuring I am eating right and getting everything ready, how was your recovery after surgery? How soon was you able to go crack to work? I'm sorry I have so many questions .

Majique hi I only have to do 1 week pre-opt plan week before my surgery but I am started tomorrow , I must have 60-80 grams off Protein, I can have chicken/ beef broth, sugarfree Jello, sugarfree pudding, and sugarfree Popsicles , and 64 ounces of Water. No solid food all liquids . My husband will be taking me to the hospital and staying with me, my parents and siblings will be there rooting me on. My kids are hiving support through skype because they don't like hospitals but will give support more at home . I just enrolled in amazon Isopure protein program where they mail you protein to you monthly at a $10.00 discount so I went with alpine punch you get 22 serving out of the container which equals 50 grams of protein pro serving. I am also doing the count down on my calenders . Huff congrats on your choice to be healthy. I look forward to reading your post.

Hi cookie they changed my date from May 5 until the 19 do to the surgeon having a family emergency but yes I have to do 1 week liquid liver shrink diet.

Hi congrats to everyone my surgery is on May 19 and I have to do one week of the pre surgery liver shrink diet beginning May 12.

Missersk I'm glad your doing great ,I didn't see your request I'm going to try and add you as a friend now. Make sure you keep me posted, I'm doing good I just finished my last appointment with my surgeon and signed all hospital and final paperwork . I will be starting my liver shrink diet on 5/ 12-19 when I have surgery.

Hi yes my fitness pal works on the iPhone as well as ipad I use them daily , you can do this, we are all hear for you, please try and focus on one day at a time not tomorrow , or next week, this is what is getting me through this time, I know we ll want a quick fix, but remember we did not gain weight.over night it is a everyday struggle to do the right thing, we are all here for you and believe in you. Please. Feel free to add me. We all can help one another , this forum has been wonderful only the people here truly understand what we go through .i look forward to reading about your challenges, vents, happiness as well as achievements .

Hi I was not required to loose any weight but my nurtritionist suggest that i try and loos e 20 pounds prior to surgery I have now lost 18 pounds and still will be loosing more once I go on the liver shrink diet one week prior to my surgery which is Ma7 19, I was told that the insurance company wants to see if your serious about losing weight and making the necessary changes for this surgery, even if you do not loose the totala mount of weight they want to see your effort, i felt the same way my 6 months turn into 9 and 1/2 months due t the long waiting list for my surgeon and it has been hard to maintain but I ma doing it, you need yo try and get in some exercise try walking everyday for at least 20 to 30 minutes, are you monitering your food with a dairy this was required and it really showed me what I am eating, you can do this, stay positive and focus, start writing what you are and the calorie intake, myfitness pay has help me a whole lot. good luck.

Hi Lisaru i had the choice of either one but after carefully consideration I am going with the bypass, i have all of the same symtoms you have minus the metalic syndrome. I was 332 pounds to start and with the bypass it will have me loose more weight as well as I have a sweet tooth as well as I was popping tums alot lately. good luck.

Purpleiris thank you I was so upset yesterday when I got the call and i had to rearrange everything because my date was original May 5, but then I thought about it emergencies happen , and the doctor is human too, and I love my surgeon so its ok. This just gives me more additional tie to loose more weight, prepare and stay focus.

Hi everyone I just got a called from surgeon office my surgery has been rescheduled until May 19/14 ugh but it was a family emergency and I'm going to stay positive and focus because it is out of my control, my liquid diet for my liver shrink starts may 14/14.
