Hi I had surgery may 19 and loved sweets after surgery I can't tolerate fried food, scramble eggs, and only thing sweat I like is sugarfee Popsicles , the smell of fried foods make me nauseated . But everyone is different. Good luck by the way I would do the surgery a 1000 times because I feel great and I'm off diabetic meds . -

Been struggling for a decade of being obese!
Cupcake replied to Lisa Ducharme's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi and welcome first I would like to say congrats on your choice to be healthy, once you meet with your primary doctor as well as a surgery team they will discuss with you all of your options, I would listen to my doctors and do as much research as you can in preparing for my procedure, the time you spend preparing for this surgery will help you understand why you eat and begin to make changes in your daily activity and food choices, I highly recommend listening to your doctors because if you could loose the weight and keep it off then you would have no need for surgery, good luck. -

Hi when you eat and your food is getting stuck are you getting a discomfort in the top of your chest where your first incision was done? I would ensure that I am chewing my food 60 times before swallowing , if it still appears to be stuck I will revert back to protein shakes until you see your doctor. Good luck my friend.
-
I would contact my insurance company to see why was denied then I will began the appeal letter asap, I am sure your doctor can write you a letter stating why you need this surgery. Good luck.

what foods YOU cannot eat anymore?
Cupcake replied to itsmekarenlee's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi I am 4 weeks out and I can't tolerate scrabble eggs, or anything fried, I don't crave sweets anymore and prefer tuna or my protein shake over anything, I like mash potatoes but hated them prior to surgery. It's like eating now is a chore and a means for survival only. -
Hi all insurance companies are different it can be 48 hours to two weeks congrats on your choice to be healthy and good luck .
-
Hi look at the sugar content it should be under 5 grams if so it's ok.

I agree with the above statement what us more important to you what others say or think or your tight to be healthy and prolong your life. If you do MIT have the surgery you are facing a lifetime of illness and a shorter life or you can decide to become healthy. Good luck my friend. But you deserve to be healthy and do not owe anyone an explanation .
