I am glad that you have decided to go forth and have your surgery you deserve to be healthy and happy and I am sure that your father would want that for you as well. I had gastric bypass and I am 6 weeks out I am off all my diabetic medication, high blood pressure meds as well I will do it again in a heartbeat I only experience dumping once when I drank to fast, I watch all sugar intake and keep all sugars under 5 grams good luck .

Hi I had rny on May 19 I am 6 weeks out and feeling great, I have hit a stall and have been at the same weight for 2 weeks but I'm still loosing inches and my doctor says it's normal. Congrats to everyone who is having surgery and good luck .

Hi it varies by doctors my surgery only took 2 hours 1 hour and 15 minutes for the surgery and the remaining time used for me to wake up the best sleep I ever had . Good luck .

I would contact his office and remind him, I know how the waiting is, I felt the same way when I finished my 6 moth requirement and then had to wait an addtional 5 months months for surgery do to the long wait list . Do not keep waiting contact the doctor or the case manager that is handling all the schedule of your appointments. Good luck my friend and remember the surgery is so well worth the wait.

I am going to try it, I just completed the forms and hopefully its approved, I am currently paying 80 bucks a month or Protein shakes and $150 every 90 days for Vitamins, so hopefully its approve if not I will continue to pay for them.

This is an excellent topic, I too am at a stall and I am 6 weeks out, I am eating less than 900 calories and on most days 600, I am getting in 60 grams of Protein and I am hardly ever hungry , I am still struggling with my Water intake but I do get in at least 32 ounces of water a day and all of my sugar are less than 5 grams.

Don't give up you can do this the liquid shakes will help you loose weight as well just focus on one day at a time. We are all here for you.

I agree with the above statements I would check with my doctor, my husband bought me sugarfree edys icecream and I had a teaspoonful and it taste great because it has no sugar in it.

It depends on the hospital but they allowed my husband to stay all 3 days in the hospital with me, i had a private room and they encourage your spouse to stay so that they can walk with you.

I was going to get the sleeve but hit the rny I didn't want yo have anything permenant in case the sleeve cause severe acid forgoes or gout because once they cut it out it's out, with rny there is a longer history and it can be reverse, I am very please with my decision I was type 2 diabetic, had High chloseterial high blood pressure I went off all meds 3 days after surgery and I fell great I am 6 weeks out and loving life . Good luck trust yourself and listen you our doctor.
