I was on a all liquid diet one week before surgery with no protein only think I was allowed was chicken broth water and sugarfree Popsicles and sugarfree jello .

I agree with the above statements you do not owe anyone an explanation I think your overthinking this just be you, you do. It have to drink alcohol everytime you eat to have a good time, and just because you take your time eating just means your enjoying your food and making healthy and wise choices good luck.

Hi billw0917 first congrats on your choice to be healthy 100 grams of protein and 80 ounces of water is a lot but it is durable once you have had your surgery and go through the stages, I am 8 weeks out and I am only getting in 65-70 grams of protein and almost 64 ounces of water a day and it's a challenge. I'm never hungry and when I am after I eat one or two bites I'm done. But don't forget you can get water through sugar free Popsicles your protein drink crystal light this will all keep you from becoming dehydrated as well as the protein will help you heal. as far as weight loose goes the weight will come off you may not be limited to just the 150 pounds just eat right drink your liquids and exercise at least three times per week and you should be fine. Lol you shower the day of surgery with an antibacterial soap after surgery you can put on deodorant .

All of my meds are chewable I am 8 weeks post opt and just started swallowing my actigal whole along with my vitamin d my vitamins are all still chewable.

I am so sorry that you are having these issues is it possible that your primary doctor can order a full blood work up to determine what issues you are having? I would strongly suggest that, please keep us posted sending prayers and a speedy recover, please remember to drink water and your protein drinks because this aids in your healing process as well as keep you from going dehydrate .

I agree with the above statements the only thing I will add is when I was struggling I bought a snowcone machine the shave ice mix with the protein drink made me feel better, it is very important to get your protein in because it helps you heal. It takes 6-8 weeks for your incision sights to heal although the outside May look heal the inside is not. Congrats on your choice to be healthy I know how you feel because I hated soup broth after during the week prior to surgury to shrink my liver but trust me it is so worth it, I'm 8 weeks out and feeling great also remember sugarfree crystal light and sugarfree pop sickles good luck my friend and keep us posted. I agree with the above statements majority people work and log. On in the evenings we are not ignoring you we are just not awake at the time we are here for you .

My doctors submitted my paperwork to the insurance ASAP but I still had to wait 4 months for surgery due to the long waiting list for my surgeon but he was so worth the wait.

Hi I agree with the above statement I have to remind myself to eat as well, getting in your protein is a must you can get it through shakes or isopure as mentioned above or if your doctor allows it protein bars. If you can eat chicken it's an excellent source of protein as well as fish. Good luck my friend.

I agree with the above statements once you walk and take in your fluids the gas and fluids will come out and you will start loosing weight. Congrats and welcome to the losers bench it is so worth it. I am 7 weeks out and I am loving life.

First I would like to say being healthy is a choice that you need to make rather it be for surgery or just changing your eating habits. You need to be healthy for yourself first then your family. I hope your marriage improves with time good luck.

Hi and congrats on your choice for being healthy , my doctors note said that I am under my doctors care for medical purpose and I will be off until a certain date it did not say for what because it is none of their business and they can not ask you what it is because it's against the law.
