I'm almost to my 6th month and I just hit one heck of a stall. I also had one my 2nd week and at least once a month for a few days. Do they stop eventually? This last one lasted for about 6 weeks! I was beginning to think that was it for me and I wasn't gonna lose anymore. I know it's normal but geez. I've heard several times to "go back to basics". Or a 5 day pouch test to kick start the losses back up again. I'm gonna do both lol. Fingers crossed!

I'm sorry you're stuck too it's so frustrating, especially when you think you're doing everything right. My scale literally has not moved in 6 weeks. What if I don't lose any more? Its so depressing. -

Thank you so much for your advice. I'm gonna try and up my protein and my calories. Hopefully something will kickstart me again. I think we're already friends on myfitnesspal but I've been slacking on that and I need to start keeping track again. That will probably help too! -

Hi! First, thank you so much! It means a lot to me second, I'm really trying to eat right. Proteins like chicken, turkey fish and shrimp. I stay away from processed whites like bread, sugar and rice. I do indulge every now and then, with a small piece of brownie or one of those little bite size snickers, or maybe a chip or 2. The only thing I've changed is my protein shakes. I get some about once or twice a month but when they run out I dnt have them. At 5 months out, would I still need them? I dnt know that I'm getting enough protein with just what I'm eating. Maybe the shakes are the missing link? Is it possible to have TO MUCH protein?

Hi. I'm 5 months out and I'm stuck too. I'm getting so frustrated. I wouldn't say that I stick to a certain diet, but I certainly don't eat the way I used to either. I've lost 74 lbs and I've been stuck at the same weight for the last month or more it seems. I've just started exercising more so I know what I need to do. I'm just afraid that 74 lbs is all I'm gonna lose and I'm starting to get very depressed. The image I had in my head before surgery was that the first 6 months the weight would just fall off and THEN the work part come in. I dnt regret my sleeve at all, I just thought it would be faster. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :'(

Thank you! I dnt really drink straight water but I drink it with mio, and I drink a lot of tea with Splenda in it. I have an appointment coming up soon with my nut so I'll talk to her. It's just. Wry frustrating but I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one. Thank you again! -

I got on the scale this morning and i gained 4 lbs! Wth?? The same thing happened to me last month and I dnt know why. I was going along so good and then bang. The only thing I can think of is that I ran out of protein drinks and I'm not getting my protein in now. That happened last month too. I don't exercise like I should, but I counteract that with cleaning. I clean hard and vigorously everyday, with and occasional walk on the treadmill here and there. And I dnt have a period due to an oblation I had and few years back, but I can tell when it's my time because my boobs hurt really bad. And when I gained last month it was around that time. But this time it isn't. Does everyone fluctuate 5 lbs? Has anyone else had this? Or am I doing something wrong? I can still only eat a few bites at a time so I dnt think I'm overheating -
I'm about 10 weeks out.
-
I was like that too. But then other times I feel like I can't eat anything but 2 bites and I'm full. Now tho, it's like I dnt want to eat at all. I "forget" to eat until I notice my stomach growling. I dnt know if that's normal because there's no way I'm getting my protein in (I'm still drinking like I should). I dnt know what to make if it either so if anyone knows please let us know

I was sleeved on July 24th. At first I was eating an drinking a lot trying to get in my recommended amounts but now at almost 6 weeks out I have completely lost my appetite. I dnt want to eat. Maybe once or twice a day is all because usually I forget to. (I'm still drinking though). Is it possible for my stomach to shrink even more because I'm eating so little? Because when I do eat it seems like it takes less to fill me up. I used to be able to take 4 or 5 bites and I started to feel it. Now it's like 3 or 4 bites. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? -

I'm almost 6 weeks out and I was wondering about weight lifting because I'd like to start toning. At what point did you guys add this to your workout? My doc said 8 weeks but I feel like I'm ready now. -
Please dont judge me but.....

Just a random question...what DOES happen to our staples in our stomach? Do they eventually dissolve? Rust away? Disintegrate? Or are they there forever? Just curious -

I've had gum. Oh my gosh we weren't supposed to?? -
Eater* not water lol. And me toooo!!

I've been pretty much doing the same thing. "Testing" little bites of this and that to see if I could handle it. Truth be told, I completely skipped the "puréed" part and went straight to soft foods because I'd chew my food for so long it'd pretty much be puréed when I swallowed it anyway. I used to be a big salad water but haven't had the nerve to try lettuce though. Has anyone tried it at almost 5 weeks out?

My nutritionist told me its fine to drink all the way up until you start eating. She said it USED to be 30 min before and 30 minutes after but she told me to just follow the "no drinking for 30 after eating" rule. I guess all dr's and nutritionists are different though.
-
The same exact thing happened to me. And I was told the same thing too. In my experience, if its not oozing or draining and it's just a clean hole, then leave it uncovered to the air so it will heal quicker. That's why my surgeon told me anyway. Good luck.

I hear so many different things. I gave up soda before surgery (7/24) and I dnt really miss it. Well, maybe the fizz a little. I'm sure at some point our new tummy could handle it. I can't see not ever having carbonation ever again? But what do I know. I'm still getting used to things. Good luck on your surgery. You will do fine
