I had two NSVs to share. First one is I was in the drive-thru at the bank dropped my slip on passengers side floorboard and I could actually lean over and pick it up!!! Previously I would not be able to reach it cuz my belly couldn't get past the steering wheel! Secondly I was clipping my toenails and realized I wasn't out of breath and red faced and could actually reach them all pretty effortlessly! And for me that's no small feet! (Pun intended ). :-).

Made this this morning for breakfast. It's 1/4 of a flat out I toasted it crispy in toaster. Topped with a spoonful of homemade egg salad and a half slice of tomato and salt and pepper. It was very good. Egg salad flat out. Cals. 113. Carb 4.4. Protein 6.0.

I just grate my boiled eggs with a hand grater then use mayo dry mustard salt pepper garlic and onion powders and some Tabasco.

It's all changed today. All different format. And new title. Bariatricpal.com instead of vertical sleeve. Still figuring out how to find my subscribed threads and such.

Was wondering if one of those would have any effect or not.... I thought of getting one

I'm late joining but need some accountability. My goals are puny compared to some but as a non exerciser seem challenging to me. Goal is to complete the daily resistance exercises the dr gave me to do ( including the wall push ups) also adding in sit-ups. 30 by end of month. Not much But a start.

Very Slow Weight Loss-Depressed!
kj44 replied to Taylor06's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have lost in two months what it has taken me SIX months to lose! So at this rate of loss u should be down well over 100lbs at six months.... I think that's pretty darn good! Try to look at the end result. We didn't get this big overnight and even those of us who r losing slower( compared to others) will reach our goals ...it just may take a bit longer. Try not to get discouraged( need to take my own advise there, lol). Best to u! (I started at 270 am 5'2" and currently am at 201.6. Surgery date was april4th ) -
I was sleeved April 4th and am down 69 lbs. like others have said it's frustrating when u read how some have lost that within two months out.... Not six. I keep cal at or below 800 protein 80-100 daily( most days... Never below70) Do minimal toning exercises (5 lb weights) and wall push-ups ( knees still too painful for floor exercises) I've been stalled now for almost a month. Even gain a lb then lose that lb to gain and lose it again. Very frustrating. But I'm going to keep pushing forward and not give up. I'm thankful for the loss I have had and will be stepping up my efforts to be sure I don't fall back into old habits( a daily struggle)

Same thing here. Haven't bought anything new yet. I'm halfway to goal and guess I either don't think I deserve it yet or.... Still partly think it's ( the pounds. Not style. Been out if style WAY too long anyways. Lol ) gonna come back.

Guilty here too of piling on the food for other peoples plates. Maybe it IS a proxy thing... Hmmm weird. Lol

I suddenly feel like the floor has dropped out from underneath me..... I was reading this thread when I realized that most of what I read described me to a tee. I realized that just like I didn't SEE myself as obese, which I still am. I didn't SEE myself in the category of being addicted to food. Just like it took seeing a picture of myself last Christmas to realize HOW obese I actually was..... Reading the posts on here suddenly became a slap in the face. The kind that wakes u up. I realized that at six months out I am starting to exhibit some of the old behaviors that brought me to have the surgery in the first place! Holy crap!!! I felt all sweaty and panicky I can NOT fail at this too! I HAVE to get it under control NOW, not just sweep it back under the rug where it was Hiding nicely. I am grateful for the honest posts on here. Thank you for not pulling your punches. I am going to strive to be honest with myself so I will be able to continue this journey successfully My name is Kimberly. And I AM a food addict.

I had a nurse ask me if i was informed by my dr about the effects of consuming so much protein some of which r kidney stones or liver damage. I had not been advised of these at all. Anyone know if these r genuine concerns and if so what's the precautions for not doing damage ?

Thank u for the info. I appreciate it and will be diligent in my water intake for sure.

I'm having trouble with my stinking thinking it's hard when others in the house r constantly eating Carbs and sugar. Or always want jack in the box( which I do not eat). But I find myself munching on a few crackers here. A bite of garlic bread there or a small piece if cobbler or cake. I'm trying to get back off the carbs. Not going so well do far. I don't eat many but right now it seems like if I have any at all I keep wanting them. Also have been stalled got over three weeks again.

Omg feel the same way! Only I'm 6 months out!!! I've lost 70 lbs but still have a little more than 70 to go. And have been stuck at the 201 mark for over three and a half weeks!!! Sigh. My clothes r getting too big but I still look and feel sooo fat.
