Thank you very much!

I to was going to use I believe it was Anthony as well. I was going to the office in goshen but he flat out lied & said my only options were the lap-band or RNY & that he felt it was best for me to get the lap-band which I knew for 100% I did not want. Then his therapist doesnt acceot insurnace & I had to pay $100 to see herb& she wouldn't clear me but when I went thru Crystal Run with Dr. Judd everything went so smoothly!!! Dr. Pucci's office also refused to send over copies of the results of all my blood work & any tests I had already had done & so I had to redo some of the requirements again but not to many. I am glad that you also had a good experience with him & that you are doing very well! He was always polite when I was in the office & I have met others who have used him & loved their experience but I am not downing him just stating my personal experience with his office. I just didn't like how I was lied to & when I found a doctor who was willing to do the sleeve & also finding out that yes my insurance did indeed cover the sleeve I was very annoyed about being lied to.

Yes everyday does get better! If you don't think your getting your protein in try tracking everything on myfitnesspal! It will help you keep track of how much protein you are actually taking in. Adding Protein powder to your pureed food will help as well with getting in the amount of protein our bodies need. I was afraid of food at first as well & that to shall pass as you get used to what your sleeve will tolerate! As you & your sleeve become well known to each other & as you learn just what your sleeve can & will tolerate, your fear of eating will disappear. Re-introduce foods slowly. It may take you a few days to a week or more sometimes before you may feel comfortable adding a newer food to your menu. You may notice as well that some things may just not sit well with your sleeve one day but may not bother you at all another day. As you progress through the stages you will learn fairly quickly what your limits are & what your getting full signs are. You will learn where your comfortableness is & where your omg, that bite was one to many. I stuck mostly to scrambled eggs & baby food type things during the pureed stage. I also had cottage cheese, Jello & greek yogurt was a life saver for me at that stage as well & was what I had most of the time. Stalls are common & if you go to the search section & put stalls in the search section you can get lots of valueable information on that subject! No I did not continuously lose, I had times I didn't lose anything & times where I lost more then I expected to. This journey varies so much, not just from person to person but each week within ourselves. Sometimes you just have to be patient & keep pushing forward, the scale will begin to move again! I keep track of my measurements as well & for me, I have found that most of the time when the scale is not moving the inches are melting away, which is your bodies way of catching up to the pounds you are losing! I am currently in a stall now as my weight has not moved for just over a month so far, which is the longest period of time I have gone without losing anything, but I have lost inches still which for me is just as exciting! I honestly don't believe I have had any major setbacks as this is a life journey & as in life nothing is easy but its how you manage to look at things & deal with things if & when a problem arises. I hope this is helpful to you! I wish you the very best through your life journey to a much healthier you!!! Stay positive, push forward at all times, take it one day at a time & always remember it is not a race & doing it in a healthy manner will help you achieve your goals! You had a great surgeon & he is always kind & caring & always takes the time to listen to any questions &/or concerns you may have & always takes the time to give you the best answer he can! You are in good hands with Dr. Judd!

Hello & welcome! I love Dr.Judd! He was a great surgeon! I am 10 mth po now & down 101 lbs! Congratulations on getting your sleeve! How are you doing?

Another one for me is "This is my now" by Jordin Sparks!!! I love that song too. My first choice is still "Silhouette" by Nikki Flores!!! Both are awesome songs especially for me going thru all these changes!!!

I am glad to hear your good! Yes we all can not wait for the first doctor weigh in, it is a very exciting moment! Try to find something to occupy your time from 8pm to whatever time you go to bed. That helps a great deal. Maybe try going for a walk instead or reading a book or if you have little ones go play a board game or something with them until the urge to graze has passed! Keeping our minds busy helps us to forget that we may think we want something to eat. A lot of it is probably head hunger which will make you think you want something but in reality our bodys don't really need nor want it. Also if it may help try putting a sign on the fridge &/or cabinets asking "are you hungry or are you just bored" my daughter did that with her roommate while away at college bcuz they found themselves always looking for something to eat while they were bored & so when they would go to the fridge they would see the sign & ask themselves why they were looking for something to eat & if it was bcuz they were bored & not bcuz they were hungry they would try to find something else to do. Hope some of this is helpful to you!

First off let me say congratulations on getting your sleeve in july!!! I wish you the best success on thw road to a healthier, happier you!!! I try my best to stay focused & do as my surgeon says. However I will not try to sound as though I am a saint in following what he says. I do my Protein first 90% of the time & I try my best to stay away from breads, Pasta, potatos & carb loafed foods. I do have them occasionally but not very often. I still eat cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, chicken, tuna, canned octopus by goya, shrimp, weight watchers string cheese. I do occasionally eat steak & pork but again I try not to eat it too often because it hits my stomach hard. I do try to get some veggies in but lots of times I am to full to get more then a few bites of the veggies in. As far as exercise goes I was doing a lot of it in the beginning but since christmas time I have not stuck to a specific exercise routine mostly due to my father being extremely ill & requiring a lot of care. I am also in the process of going back to school for my GED which takes up what little time I do have & also the fact that it took losing 100 lbs before any doctor took me serious enough about my chronic back pain & just last week received me MRI results to find out that at 34 I m looking at needing some serious back surgery from a ten year old car accident in which I ran myself over with my own car (note to self: never push a broke down car up a hill, it rolls back down on top of you lol) hard lesson learned. I do still try to go for walks as often as possible & I usually walk 4 to 4 1/2 miles in about 2 hrs & now that winter is over I plan on getting out there to walk more often! I also plan on gwtting back into my workout dvds but just taking it a little easier until I know for sure what my back will tolerate without damaging it even more then it already is. I hope some of this is helpful to you & I am sorry if I don't seem like very much help. I am very grateful for your kind words about my progress so far, it is greatly appreciated & I am truely hopeful that the progress I have made may help others along their path. Whether it is as they begin the process or already going through the process & have had their surgery but just feel like they may fail or possibly have regrets. I hope it gives people the courage to continue & that the results make it all worth it in the end & to not give up!!! -
