Taste buds and sleep

Some people say they no longer like a lot of things they used to pre op. I have not had that with anything really uet. I just dont crave as many things I did pre op. I use the dannon lite & fit greek yogurt it has luke 12g of Protein in it & is only 80 calories. Mine has the fruit on the bottom tok I just can not eat greek yogurt without the fruit in it. As far as the sleeping issue goes I am in the same boat as you. I am just shy of 6 weeks out & have had troubke sleeping since about week 3-4.

5 days out

Have you tried gas-x chewabkes or the strios you can put under your tongue? The chewabkes were my best friend for the first few days when I got home after surgery

Aww I didnt mean to make you cry. I know it can be rough but just stay positive & every morning when you wake up google a positive qoute for the day & write it down & put it up on the fridge or a cabinet or a mirror & everytime you feel down or upset or even frustrated walk over to it & read it & remind yourself of how great you are & how much you have accomplished each day & even just from having the surgery itself!!!! I mean taht was a huge step to take & that in itself shows courage & determination!!!!! Yoy will do great on your journey & this forum is great for giving that extra lift tou may need as well so always feel free to put up anything you may be feeling whether it is a bad day or even a celebration of your succes!!!!

5 days post

Oh I totally can relate to that. Trust me. When I had my surgery I had my sister & my nieces & nephews up visiting our very ill father/grandpa. I also live with my ill father who is in end stage renal failure (on dialysis) & has a bad heart (docs dont give him too much more time due to his heart) & I also have a roomate that I have to cook for every day. I had good days & bad days when I was on the liquid diet ( I had a couple of melt downs if you ever see some of my other posts) but it does get better & easier. I am only a lil more then 5 weeks out so it was not that long ago I steuggled with having to cook for everyone & not have any of it. Just stay positive & keep your head up & keep looking to the grand prize at the end---- a healthier, happier you!!!!! You did this surgery for a reason & you can use that reason as your motivation!!!! Keep your faith in God & let him help you on your journey!!!! I wish you the very best on your journey & I pray you find strength in your results along the oath of this journey. Anything that is hard in life is worth the work!!!! Nothing is easy & this surgery is definitely not an easy route & it will get rough at times but as long as you can stay positive & focused on your goals you will be happy!!!! I hope this helped you some.

Frustrated I need guidance

I agree you are doing a fantastic job & should be extremely proud of your accomplishments so far & your continued success in the future. The scale not moving but still losing inches is your body's way of catching up. I am not anywhere near being as far out as you are as I am just over 5 weeks out but from all the research I have done plus all the reading I have done on here as well you are doing an amazing job & just try to be patient as your body tries to catch up with all the weight you have lost & will continue to lose. I know it is easier said then done as we all want our results asap & everyone gets frustrated & somewhat discouraged when the scale stops moving temporarily as I did when I was only 2 weeks out but I have been trying to prepare myself for the stalls & to try to teach myself that they are normal & why they happen & all that still but please be proud of all you have done so far & keep your head held high along this journey. Keep faith in God to help you through your journey as all things are possible through him!!!! I wish you lots more success on your journey & always remember that the weight did not appear overnight or even in a few months. It took a while for us to get where we were & it will take a while to get to where we want to be, that is why it is called a journey enjoy the ride to a better, happier, healthier you!!!!

Why..why do people do this?

I was very open from the beginning on my fb page & I have not had one person not be supportive through this whole process. I am very grateful for all my family & all my friends both on & off of fb. I am so sorry that lady was so rude & disrespectful to you. What a shame she jsust could not simply wish you the best & leave it at that. I post weekly updates on my fb since the day of my surgery & I post weekly pics of my progress as well & I would have simply told her how disappointed in her I was & that if she could not be supportive she would have to be deleted. I hope everyone else on your page continues to help motivate you & support you on your journey to a healthier you!!!! I also hope yoy delted her.

July sleevers please check in..

Hi everyone!!!! Sleeved on July 18th & am down 24 lbs since surgery as of friday, exactly 4 weeks since the day I came home which was on July 19th. Happy to see everyone doing so well. Keep up the great work everyone & dont get so discouraged about not seeing the scale move because you are probably losing inches instead of pounds I know it is easier said then done because I was in a stall at week two & I got really upset about it as well. Just try to stay positive & when your having a bad day just come on here because that is why we are all her to help support each other on hard says & to celebrate the good days best wishes to you all on your continued success!!!!

For some reason I am unable to see what was written by the person who started this one
17. Pretty cool!!!
18. You will do great!!!! I am 4 weeks post op & I was very nervous before my surgery & o have had several surgeries so it was not my first time going under. One tip i s get yourself some chewable gas-x or the kind that nelts under your tongue. It will help a lot after you come home with the gas pains from the surgery. Also make sure you do a lot of walking in as soon as they let you at the hospital. I will pray for you & your surgery best wishes!!!!
