What are some lunch ideas with good amounts of protein. What is your favorite lunch? Surgery date was 10/28. Entering Soft foods now. Thanks.

I had surgery 10/28. My start weight was 227, ht 5'8. I currently weigh 195. I had a 2 week long stall. Finally loosing again. I'm probably going to be a slow loser, but that's ok with me. Only 50 more lbs till I reach my goal. Good luck!

I'm 5 weeks post op today. I was able to eat 1 scramble egg this morning, Is that too much at one time? -

Has anyone experienced pain in throat to stomach when trying to eat pureed foods? I have a terrible burning feeling, and feels like elephants on my chest. Just after a few bites. Thanks! -
Good to hear from you, I was worried about you. I just got my jp drain removed. I feel so much better. I go back to work tomorrow. Doctor said everything looks good. Down 12 lbs.

Thank you!! I haven't tried a full yogurt yet. I take out half which is 3oz. I've heard so many people express how your sleeve is numb, don't want to chance blowing a staple. -
I'm assuming this is very normal. My stomach is constantly making noises, bubble guts, dogs growling sound. I've been burping more, and have non-painfull gas all day long. I'm 7 days post op today. Stomach is in it's healing stage right now. If you're not sure about something, call your nurse. Best of luck to you!

Good morning, It's a beautiful cool morning here in N.W. Fla. Sipping on my protein shake. How are you doing soon to be? My incisions are starting to heal, they are itchy. Wish you well!!

I had 2-3 days clear and now 1 week of full. I was able to drink a premier protein shake today. Got in at least 30 grams of protein. The doctor had me drinking clear liquids the day of my surgery, after my swallow test looked good. Hang in there friend!

Glad you made it home. I'm on full liquids now. Starting to feel a bit hungry, thinking it's more of head hunger tho. I'm doing pretty good with eating ice pops. Down 7lbs since surgery on Monday. Good luck!!!!

When could you swallow your anti reflux medicine? I have omeprazole 40 mg, currently I open the capsule and sprinkle over my crushed ice pop. It's a rather large capsule. Thanks

Soontobe how are you feeling today? I'm still struggling getting fluids in. I have developed a mild cause of thrush. (White tongue) I need to up my fluids. Learning all over again..

Doing much better today. No pain medicine taken at all. Only thing bothering me is my drain. It comes out next Wednesday. Water still makes me nauseous, so drinking my Protein shake. Happy Halloween

I came home yesterday. The same with nausea and some pain if I swallow to big.

Today is a little better. I hate having this drain til next Wed. Drinking my water and walking. It feels like I have the bubble guts. Thanking everyone for prayer and kind words!
