Can someone tell me, why it is okay to say thin people look disgusting (examples I have seen used is Nicole Ritchie, Star Jones, The Olsen twins, Jen Aniston to name a few) But call someone who is overweight disgusting based on their size, and -woah! How is it different to call someone thin names based on their weight? People are people, no matter their size, and everyone has feelings that can be hurt by name calling. If the people who calling thin people disgusting were at the same weight as the people they are calling names, would they still be calling them disgusting, skinny, or anorexic? I guess I am just so sick of the attitude of thin = skinny = bad = sick.

:whoo: That's awesome!!
-
I did say "most".
-
Thank you!! You know... If we all keep this up, the average will be way more than 50% before too long! Way to go everyone!!
-
It's only an average. I have lost more than 100%.

So, having comments left on your blog calling you an anorexic whore wouldn't bother you? How about the one calling you a "show off". Or what about being called a skinny bitch? I don't care who you are, or where in the world you live, no one deserves to be called those sorts of names for no good reason. But thank you for your concern. Most people at the same weight and height are somewhere near the same size. The shape may be totally different, but two people of the same weight and height will be able to get into the same clothes. No? You don't know what I look like? I know what you look like, your pic is in your AV, just like mine was in my sig. The media have a very nasty habit of printing only the photos with the most dramatic effect. Therefore, you will only see photos of them without makeup, in baggy clothes, taken from a bad angle so they can say "See! They are pale, and skinny" I bet you a dollar that if I was to post a pic, taken from a bad angle of me in baggy clothes with no makeup I would look pale and skinny too. But that's a whole other thread! LOL. Maybe you can be that pragmatic about being called fat, but I could never be. I never liked it. Being called a fat cow botherd me. Being called an anorexic whoe bothers me. So for me, skinny, is no different. There are journals on LBT, but the blog being talked about is my blogspot blog.

LJM, She Smiles, pincham2brn, TheGh0st and Green. I love you guys! I think it is best, for now at least if they stay down. I really don't want to antagonise the people who are harassing me covertly (and not so covertly).
-
So much passive agression from one person. I admire the dedication that it takes to have a hate-on for me, I really do. But don't other area's of your life deserve the attention you are giving me?
-
(I am replying to the underlined part) I said you are morbidly obese now did I? Nope. I don't remember that part. If you feel fat 135, that's YOUR problem. Not mine. Poor old chickie doent give a dogs fart what shape, size or weight YOU are. And she has said this over, and over and over.... She just want's people like YOU to leave her alone!
-
Nope, I don't have any issues. But the cowardly assholes who leave messages on my blog about me being an anorexic whore, nasty ugly bitch, skinny bitch, and a show off sure do. I like being thin. Beats the shit out of being morbidly obese. How 'bout YOU?
-
Yeah, I got that the reply was for me.
-
I guess, I am seeing "That would be too thin / skinny / scrawny / whatever" at my height and anywhere up to 60lbs (60lbs!!) heavier than me so often around here, that it really is starting to piss me off. It's like, indirectly, people are saying I am too thin. I mean, the Olsen twins were singled out in another thread as disgusting. I am about their weight and height. Am I disgusting? Because that is the message I am getting.
-
I think thin looks sick to the majority of society because we are so used to seeing overweight people that thin now looks "too thin"
-
It actually really DOES hurt to be called skinny. It hurts when people are nasty. Full stop. I have been on both ends of it (having been called both fat and skinny) and they both hurt.

How close to goal to get a TT?
Chickie replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Close enough, isn't good enough in terms of reconstructive surgery. You would be hard pressed to find a reconsructive surgeon who will do a TT on someone who is still overweight. A plastic surgeon however, will take your money and run, results be dammed. -
Mariposa Bella why did you delete your posts? I would have loved to have replied to them. Picking on skinny is as offensive as picking on fat. Skinny is the word used to describe all the Hollywood starlets starving themselves to nothing. Knock off the skinny shit. If you are not comfortable at my weight or size, just say that, not that it's a skinny, disgusting, impossible size. That is what offended me.

I was at goal. -
Some people who want to have their tubes tied, wish to do so to prevent reoccurring miscarriages. It's not always just about not wanting more kids. Sometimes there is more to it.
-
Because you use my size when you post, and you have referred to my size as scrawny. Being told, even in a round about way, that you are skinny and scrawny is down right offensive.

It depends on the doctor. So *do* put a tiny fill in during surgery, most don't, and it can be anywhere up to 8 weeks before the first fill. Again, depending on the doctor.

Worked out over the mile, running would burn more calories.
-
I am pretty sure if you consult a "calorie per hour per activity" calculator, it would show that running burns more calories per hour than walking.
-
Point out to me where I have said I am better than you. Please.

lap band or bypass?
Chickie replied to hope2bhealthy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh, so you wanted to know what the people who are at goal did to get there? Personally, I am a fairly strict Vegetarian, eat organic and unprocessed foods as often as I can, walk everywhere I can, run 5km a day and do strength training 3 days a week. Sorry if I misunderstood your question! -
I would vote for. I am in one of the only large cities on the east coat of Australia that doesn't have DLS, and honestly it is a pain in the ass. I am all for Queensalnd being split into two time zones (the south east on DLS, and the northern area's in regular time to accommodate the farmers)
