3 month anniversary 47 lbs gone forever

I was scared at the idea as well but everyone I know that goes through this process at the end of their year ends up losing 100 lbs. If I lost 100 lbs I would be 97lbs. I don't want to be that size but I won't have a choice in the matter and with me being already small to begin with I could stop now and be happy. However I'm only month 3 and 2 days lol. I'm already grateful that my sleeve has worked with me and from here on out its a bonus. If you pm I will send you the challenges via email or here is my email address if anyone wants me to send them to you! Candacebwalker@yahoo.com I eat everything like I did before even fried food. I don't eat much of it and I don't eat out that much. If I do it's subway and I eat a 6 inch and it literally takes me all day to finish it... Maybe 8-10 hours but I won't eat anything else -
3 month anniversary 47 lbs gone forever

Acampbell I have been exercising since the day after I got home from the hospital. Of course just slowly walking for at least 2 miles 3-4 times a week for about 3 weeks. After that, I started moving and jogging here and there where I have worked my way up to 7 days a week running. The lower belly is going to be the most difficult to work off but you gotta do the cardio in order for the other parts to slim down so that you can concentrate on the stomach. Remember you lose muscle mass so your stomach is gonna be flimsy and the last thing you want to be is skinny fat!!!! It's spring time and we can all make excuses or we can just take it one day at a time an get out there for at least ten minutes and work your way up until there's no time limit to what you can do!!! I hope this helps -

521 Diva Thank you for your wonderful comments.... I don't have a problem getting to a size 6-8. This is my normal size when I lose weight every year. The reason why I had the surgery is because I know how to lose it I just don't know how to maintain it. I am using the surgery to help me back away from the table but use what I know about to exercise to get me all the way down. Since a size 8-16 is what I have a closet full of clothes, anything below a size 8 is bonus!!! I'm turning 35 in 27 days and I've already met my goal which was to be in a size 8, but I wanted my weight to be 140lbs. Because I am only 3 months out, I know this sleeve has a mind of its own and come my 1 year anniversary on 12/30/2014, I can see myself around 100-105 lbs. size 0-2 -

Thank you. I workout 6-7 days a week for at least 30 minutes- an hour walking on the track, jogging on treadmill, spin cycle class or the elliptical at the gym. I do 30 day squat, ab and arm challenges and I try to do protein which is difficult for me through shakes. I eat salmon, chicken, pork chops basically anything for dinner to give me my protein and a few veggies. I drink milk and eat cheese as well for the in between hunger -
This happens to me once or twice a week!!!!! Keep your head up and out of the toliet as much as possible! Lol

I work out 6 days a week for at least 30 minutes on the treadmill. In the beginning walking now running. I have a hard time drinking Protein Shakes on the regular and getting it in like I should but I only drink Water outside of the Protein. I am now going to the gym and adding spin cycle classes twice a week for an hour. I do the squat challenge, and challenge and arms. You can google that and it will show you 30 day challenges. I stay connected to a support group on here from the month I had my surgery and stay motivated by the stories on here. I weigh myself everyday just so I know what to adjust but I don't get upset if I gain. I just keep pushing through it. I went from size 16 and now I'm back into all my size 8's comfortably.

cbwalker79 replied to AtlantaRed's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good job loriann... I was sleeved on 12/30/2013 HW 197 SW 186 CW 151 I have lost a total of 46lbs in 2 months 3 weeks! I'm almost at my first goal weight which is 143!! I'm so proud of everyone and keep up the great work! If there's anyone struggling keep moving and don't worry about the stalls just do something different that you didn't do the week prior and something will happen great!!!! -
Lmcagain.... I never gave up. It was a 3 month process to get bcbs to approve me but I never gave up and they finally approved me. I was worried that I wouldn't get approve but never stop trying... If you get denied, just know you have rights. Mine was a technicality and was a minor issue but it was fixed by me writing a letter and I was instantly approved

I'm having mixed emotions!!! I am 2 1/2 months post op and I have been working my butt off with my exercise on a consistent basis since I got home from the hospital. I was Sleeved on 12/30/13 and I have lost 40 lbs. is my exercising slowing down the process because I am toning or am I not getting enough calories in? I know everyone's bodies are different but why are things moving so slow when I average at minimum 45 minutes of exercise a day? HW 197 CW 157

Exercising vs not exercising
cbwalker79 replied to cbwalker79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you for taking the time to respond... Your exactly right, I looked at lbs not percentage and I appreciate everyone's responses. Thank you for encouraging me not to get caught up in the numbers and exercise is always the best way to go! -
Congratulations first and can't wait to see your progress!!! I have BCBS TX Fed but if it's all the same I spent $300. $150 to the surgeon and $150 to hospital for 1 night stay at the hospital

Exercising vs not exercising
cbwalker79 replied to cbwalker79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Me and my husband were sleeved 3 weeks apart and he has lost 63 lbs and has not exercised at all. His HW 272 SW 262 and his CW 207. I know he's a man and he's gonna lose faster but I should have explained that at my first post. I guess that's why I say exercise vs not exercise. -
Exercising vs not exercising
cbwalker79 replied to cbwalker79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you or your responses... Everyone has encouraged me to keep moving on my journey of Weightloss via exercising. I haven't been following my protein exactly how I am supposed to however I started back drinking those yucky protein shakes this week. That's harder than exercising which might be my major problem. I am typically 136-143 lbs however I am always up and down every year... the surgery for me was to be able to maintain a healthy weight without all the dramatics with my eating which always causes me to go to 180+ lbs -
100 pounds in 6 months and feeling fantastic! before / after pics :)
