[font=comic sans ms,cursive][size=5]Hi everyone! I have been over weight ALL OF MY LIFE. I have wanted weight loss surgery longer than many of you have been alive. I am a teacher, and my school's insurance policy does not cover bariatric surgery. Why? I have no idea. My insurance company had no problem covering my care for hypertension, B12 shots numerous doctor's appointments due to morbid obesity. Anyway, my mom (89 years old) offered to GIFT me the money( $15,300) to have the surgery done. I am thrilled that she did because she gave me life a second time.
My first Dr. appointment was April 1, 2013 and I had my surgery July 9, 2013. That is not a very long process compared to many of you. So far I am very happy with the whole process. I have lost 32 pounds since the surgery just four weeks ago, and I am going strong. I am looking forward to a healthier, happier life. Stay tuned for updates.
