Thanksgiving Challengers (just for fun):
-
Congrats to you BOTH for making it to Onederland this week! I notice there are a few more people who many join you before the challenge is over...now how cool is that!? I'm planning on my Onderland crossover during the Easter challenge, but I can wait...I'm doing fine. It's just so exciting to see some of you moving into new places. It not only makes us excited for you and your progress but also for ourselves, knowing what is possible. CONGRATS!

Welcome to the group! I'd love to add you to the charts and graphs, but need to know...what is your Thanksgiving goal?

You May Be More Successful Than You Think....
Bea Amaya replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi gamergirl, just wanted to say I DID get your message but the system will not allow me to 1) respond to it, or 2) send you a message. I get an error message that says something like, "you are not allowed to use the message system". Anyway, I do want to have a longer "conversation" with you. If you want, please email me one of your regular email addresses so I can draft a proper response later. Briefly, my answer is "yes, you will be able to figure out how to create your own little 'tool' set" and "yes, I will be glad to help you over any hurdles". More to come later... (Email me at bea@amaya.com). -

Following gamergirl's awesome lead on this topic, I created a webapp that does the calculations for you. Now you can check your own progress as you lose. Enjoy. http://bea.amaya.com/PercentEWL.html -

July sleevers please check in..

Losses are slow but steady. Finally dropping clothes sizes. All is well and I remain on target! -
P.S. I think it's AWESOME that you figured out how to get a ticker in your signature. I tried 1) using the tickers built-in here--there are no working images; 2) using a TickerFactory ticker--my profile page says I can only use a minuscule 250 wide image; 3) removing the image altogether from my signature so I lose that stupid "image missing" logo--no matter what I try, the site automation puts the darn thing back every time. I believe myself to be relatively intelligent and tech-savvy, so you KNOW I'm impressed when someone else figures out a work-around that works. AWESOME! LOL!

Hi Irs...to keep the sheet "clean" I usually hide the rows that show people that haven't reported in yet. Once they report in, I make those rows visible again. Your name was on the sheet, but was hidden. You should be showing up now. Thanks (and congrats on your loss this week!)

From the album: Journey
Me at 233.4 lbs. That's 58.6 lbs down. I am still obese, still have LOTS of fat, still have lots of loose skin, and still have a long way to go. But I am VERY pleased with how far I've come!!! -
The stats for this week are really looking good! Two people lost a whopping 5 lbs, another two lost 4 lbs, and an amazing additional six people lost between 3 and 4 lbs. Overall, the 30 people that reported in this week lost over 60 lbs together. That is just AWESOME! Way to go EVERYONE!!!

NO WORRIES!!! I think we are ALL struggling with this new site. I was so disappointed with this site I even went looking for a new "sandbox" to play in last night. If things don't get better soon, I may switch over to the ThinnerTimesForum. I hate to leave the support community here that have been so helpful to me over the past few months, but I really need something that works, something that does not pop up error messages at the top of every page. Anyway, hopefully this site will straighten itself out soon!

Yes...if you go to the very first post in this thread (page 1) you'll see the links, instructions, updates, etc.

Just checking, Lew...is this 347 or 374?
-
Updates so far are posted. I'm sure we'll get used to this new site, but it's definitely different. I saw a LOT of multiple postings, and (at least on my view) everybody's tickers are "broken" now. Still, we have 11 people reporting in so far, so surely people will get the hang of the changes and start reporting in soon. I was down 2 lbs this week! Yippee! Perhaps there's a chance for me to make that Thanksgiving goal after all. Fingers crossed!

Got it! Good luck!
-
Send me your start weight (or wait and start with tomorrow's weight) and your goal weight and I'll add you to the list. Welcome to the challenge!
-
Absolutely! Join us!

You're both in now...not too late at all. "See you" at Thursday's check-in!

It's just an Excel spreadsheet I created. I enter my weight daily and the spreadsheet does all the rest. -

Bea Amaya replied to shannyd4's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved July 30. I would categorize myself as a slightly slow loser, as compared to others I've seen. But happy about my losses? YOU BET! I'm attaching my stats below for anyone that's interested. Bea -

What do you order at restaurants after weight loss surgery?
Bea Amaya replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I can find one of my favorites at a little chain restaurant within walking distance of my apartment called "The Fish Place". The "Mexican Shrimp Cocktail" is really delicious, chocked full of Protein, and just the right size for one or two meals (depending on my day). I don't (can't) eat the chips, of course, but really love the combination of shrimp, avocado, and spicy Mexican flavors. I have to admit to sometimes sipping a bit of Water on the side (twice) as this dish is really spicy. -
You're in, but what is your target weight for Thanksgiving? Let me know and I'll update the data.

Aw...too sweet!
