Does everyone w this surgery leave w a drain
Christina.v replied to Bellanthin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to have one :/ it was uncomfortable to say the least and got it out 8 days after surgery -
I had the lap band for two years and my doctor wanted to do the removal and replacement of the sleeve all at once. So, it was done all at once on July 15th. I must say that I have lost 15 lbs in 9 days which is simply marvelous, I just wish it was a bit easier to adjust my eating (drinking) my food, It is a huge difference from the two in terms of recuperating and eating styles. Im in for the long term changes here and I'm on the fence here... But no turning back now! Lol! I have to keep telling myself... it will all be worth it in the end

For those who had band to sleeve in one surgery..
Christina.v replied to Band07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my lap band (nightmare) for two years, btw I had so many problems with mine. After one year i had to have it revised because it prolapsed and once it was done the doctor never refilled the band, but i continued to have many problems with it, not being able to take deep breaths, having the worst time ever just to get a burp out,& most of all the worst shoulder pain. I am truly thankful for yhe sleeve now down 15lbs 9days out! Good luck on your journey -
