Got the call today that I am being submitted to my insurance company!! So excited! This is getting real! Now wonder how long it will take???

Congratulations!! I understand the nerves. I feel them now reading your post lol. Although I was just submitted to insurance today and still a ways off from my surgery I am nervous 😬 like J San said though everything will be fine and you will wonder why you were so nervous. Good luck!!

I am an emotional eater and I turn to food to get me through everything. So I was just curious what coping method besides food has everyone found after surgery?

Thanks for all the great ideas! I just couldn’t for the life of me name one that I thought could actually replace the comfort of food . I think I was just in like panic mode. But to hear ideas that others have actually used help so much. I know it is possible and I appreciate everyone that is on here that tells their journeys.

I’m also in the process. Not sure when yet. Almost ready to submit to insurance. -
I have had my 7 visits, psych eval, labs, and my group support. As I am getting closer to finishing my hurdles I am starting to get nervous. I am thinking is it really okay to get part of your stomach cut out? And for those that are way post op how is life with part of your stomach being cut out? Any regrets? Sorry nerves are working over time....

I am glad to hear you say this new tool has helped you. I always have head hunger. I want a new relationship with food. I want to eat to live not live to eat.

Has anyone ever done labs and the h pylori be positive? If so can the gastric sleeve still be performed?

I have a few things to get done as well. I have to do my psych, support group, and nutritionist. I have all my 7 doctor appointments done. But I tested positive for h pylori and have about a week and half left on the meds and then get retested. I am In Tennessee. Good luck.

All this is good to know! I am on my third day of the antibiotics. I didn’t even have symptoms of h pylori, so I guess it is good to find and get cleared up.

Sorry that was suppose to say those types of meds can mess with tour kidneys.

I would watch some of those types of meds and mess with your kidneys if on them long term. Like the omeprazole. I would just talk to my doctor about those and watch my creatine and gfr through lab work.
