    July sleevers please check in..

July 31st was my surgery. So far I've lost 43 POUNDS in a month!(includes 2 week pre-op weight loss). Just went and got some new clothes yesterday
  2. Is it gas? I had terrible pains in my shoulders and lower back for the first 2 weeks post op. Some of the pains would make me cry! Nothing helped..I tried Gas X, Tylenol, and even the Vicodin prescribed. It's probably not what you want to hear, but it will eventually go away. I walked and waited...I hope you feel better soon!

    Dinner and pain

Thank you, thank you to everyone on this thread! I was so scared this morning until I read this! I ate a 1/2 an egg and it feels like I'm going to throw up! It hurts so badly! I'm waiting for it to pass right now.... I forgot the whole "chew till its liquid in your mouth" and ate like the old 315 pound me.....

    Is this normal?

I too had the surgery recently (2 weeks ago), and almost everyday I lost a pound or two. The past 3 days, nothing, and I was feeling discouraged. I'm glad you asked this question, and good to know others are going through the same.

I'm craving grilled chicken and hummus! Besides that, I just took off my bandages and everyday I seem to be a little better

    6 Days Post Op

How far out are you from your surgery? I used the hearing pad when the gas pain were in my shoulders and lower back, and it helped then.
  7. Does anyone else have gas? Not the fart or burp kind lol, but it seems like my stomach is rumbling. Almost like hunger pains, but way more painful! I've tried Gas-x strips but it doesn't work. I'm walking and being as active as possible too. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    feeling sickie

I just bought some gas x strips, and the heating pad definitely helped ease the pain. Thanks

Why won't they let you use gas x?

I feel full too! Every sip of water or protein is like a rock hitting my stomach. Ugh. It's definitely a struggle...I hear ya!

    feeling sickie

I am feeling sick as well. I had my sleeve done on Wednesday. I have sharp gas pains in my shoulders and stomach. The pains literally have me in tears! The doctor says walking gets rid of it so I walked every 2 hours. I just came home from the hospital an hour ago, and it's still there! I am on Vicodin too, but it doesn't seem to help :*(

So exciting!! Good luck tomorrow, and let me know (if you feel up to it) how everything went

    Surgery on Wednesday! Eeek!

That IS a tough pre-op diet! I looked forward to my 1 meal! I ate it soooo slowly....lol! Good luck to you as well
  14. I'm going in 11 am on Wednesday! I'm so excited but so nervous! Im 5'6" and started at 315 pounds! I've lost 20 pounds on the pre-op diet ( 3 protein shakes and 1 -3oz lean protein with veg), and I still have 3 days to go! I have to say the hardest part so far is the first 3 days! I was miserable and STARVING! I felt so depressed...like I was "breaking up" with food! I missed everything! What concerns me now is after the surgery. I read so many horror stories...it scares me :/
