Will i have to sip forever?

I am a chugger too. That was the most difficult thing for me. Now I can chug a few times and be ok. I have never counted but I would guess 5 or so like a previous post mentioned. I'm 3 months out.

    Does anyone miss being overweight?

I wouldn't say I miss it since I'm still 245. But I went out to a fancy dinner with husband at a steak house. I kinda missed the salad, steak, bread, etc. I love salads but I can't get one when we are out. But that's the only thing I miss.

    July 2013 Sleevers

Good for you! I am down 52# since surgery. My problem is I can't really exercise like I want. I am waiting to join the YMCA. I can eat a good bit at times others not so much. Most I've eaten is a whole sandwich. But most times its barely half. I have zero issues tolerating things. Which is good, yet bad at the same time. My biggest problem is drinking too fast. I guzzle when IM hot. So when I do yardwork its hard to not just guzzle. Hands down best decision I've made for myself. Would do it all over again.

    Losing too fast?

I was 304 day of surgery, 7/10/13. Today I am 270. I experienced the three week stall too. I hadn't lost any weight for nearly a week. I just started losing again yesterday.

    Sex post op

I think it was about a week out. I haven't had any pain in my tummy at all. The only pain that I have seems to be when I eat to fast.

    Stall help

I'm experiencing it too! Though the past week I haven't lost but thus morning it is down 2-3lbs. So I'm hopping that this is the end of it. I wad told by my nut to not worry about calories just worry about protein. Which I'm getting. But I know yesterday I did not meet my water goals. It is frustrating. I am down roughly 35lbs from July 10th when I was sleeved. But I still fit into allot of my clothes. I'm compacting, as my husband says. I'm losing it from my shoulders up and my thighs down. Hopefully it ends soon and I can start dropping again.

Cutting food vs. biting into it?

I think this is my problem. I think I may cut mutt bits too big.

I'm at 3 weeks out and I've hit a stall as well. its frustrating. I can eat about 4oz at a time and its usually all protein. Egg, tuna, lowest cheese, chicken, salmon. very little carbs. I don't add anything to the meat or egg. Ice

    July Sleevers

I was sleeved July 10th. I'm on soft foods now with few restrictions. I too struggle with the vitamins. I need to set a timer for them. I've lost nearly 35lbs but seem to be at a stand still now. Its a little discouraging. Even a day at an amusement park didn't budge the scale.

    July 2013 Sleevers

My big moment was watching my kids not finish their meal and me not bring able to. The mental part is/was the hard part for me. I hate watching them leave food.

    July 2013 Sleevers

I was sleeved July 10th. Best decision I've ever made. Mine had been very easy API far. I'm on pureed foods now but it's an odd feeling. Not good, not bad, just odd. I'm down 34lbs. I'm eagerly waiting for real food!

    July 2013 sleevers

I just find it amazing that there are so many different plans. Apparently they all work which is all that matters in the end! I just had real soup tonight for the first time. Just the broth not the veggies and noodles. I am still full liquid. But it was like Heaven. Do different than just plain brothel

    July 2013 sleevers

Its amazing how each person drs regimen is different. I had no swallow tests, my pre-OP diet was only 1-day (I was allowed breakfast but only clear liquids after 9am) which all went well, no problems with liver and i have fatty liver disease, and I am still on a liquid diet 10days post OP. After doing research online, the foods in each diet is different too. Some start pureed in the hospital, some don't until day 18. Guess it works for everyone each way. I'm anxious for something other than protein shakes Anyone have any good suggestions for pureed/soft foods?

    july 2013 sleevers

Thank you! I was incredibly tired the first two days home. My only "issue" was taking too big of a drink and it being uncomfortable for a few seconds. But now I don't have that.

    july 2013 sleevers

I had mine on July 10. Its been fantastic!! Minimal pain. My experience has been picture perfect so far *knocks on wood*. I haven't been nauseous or have vomited, yet. I'm going that continues! I don't know how much I have lost but I know that I have. I am wearing pants that I clothes not get over my hips last week. I don't drink broth. My energy level its of the charts. I'm not sure of its mental or not. My only issue is sleep. Is been fleeting. But its been fantastic! I'm eager to start the next phase!
