  1. I've hit every goal he's given me. I listen to all his advice. But now I won't see him until next year, which kinda makes me nervous.

He asked me if I wanted to go any lower... Well... Yeah! lol

My weight today: 129.3 lbs. My surgeon's goal for next year: 115 lbs. that might be a little low for me as I enjoy weights, but we will see.

Topics of discussion today: hair, BMs, Protein, and plastic surgery. :)

    Excited about the plastics talk!

Here's some recent befores & nows:

    That's great.

  2. My surgery was performed on March 12 today is May 7 and I am down almost 30 pounds and I have any complication.

I feel great and I'm back to work and I'm down from a size 18-20 to a size 14. I am so happy I had the surgery and I have no regrets I feel awesome I'm off my blood pressure medication and my sleep apnea is minimal.

My surgery was March 6th. I'm down 32 pounds since then. I've been taken off all of my diabetes meds and cleared of diabetes. Also; my blood pressure med has been cut in half. You and I are doing great. Way to go.

  3. I wish I had known:

    • That my initial recovery would be as easy as it was.
    • That there is an app for the iPhone that helps you eat slower. (Called "Eat Slower")
    • That I can no longer gulp liquids like I used to.
    • That I would hit a stall at 5 weeks out and how frustrating that can be.
    • That I have food issues (I didn't really think I did).
    • That eating a meal now is a let down. I sit down to a tasty meal and am really enjoying it, then I'm full. Wanting to eat more, but I can't. This has been the hardest part of the whole process.
    • That I would still experience real hunger. (Most people say that hunger goes away. Mine hasn't).
    • That I am still tempted by the wrong foods and I probably always will be. This is a constant struggle for me.

Just to be clear; I would do it over a 1,000,000 times. I'm 7 weeks out and I've lost 32 lbs since surgery.

  4. I'm 7 weeks post-op and have lost 50 pounds since starting my pre-op liquid diet.

Saw my primary care physician yesterday and he cut my blood pressure medicine in half. Woohoo!

Also; saw my diabetes doctor last week and he took me off all of diabetes meds and said that I no longer have diabetes. Woohoo again!

    Thank you sleeve.

  5. Hello all,

I am 75 fays post op and have lost a total of 37 lbs. I am currently at 195, surgery date I was 232. This last week I haven't loss anything..its been the same. I am trying not become discouraged. I would love to hear some words of advise or experience. Thanks all!

I am 55 days post op and have lost 32 pounds since surgery. I too have gone thru some dead periods. I was stuck for over 2 weeks and actually gained back 5 pounds but have since started losing again. The difference for me was taking in plenty of Protein and Water. I'm confident that's what broke my stall. Remember, what you are experiencing is absolutely normal. Your body is fighting back but things will straighten out. Hang in there.

  6. I read that if you want to run faster, then run faster. Sounds ridiculous but it just might work. Maybe you could start your couch to 5k again and with your added endurance, you'll be able to run those short runs faster and then work from there. Hope this helps.
