I know that I'm not supposed to post in here, but I'm going to anyway. This is a very interesting topic. As I'm sure you ladies know,or maybe not, us men have trouble with fat buidling up on the mound. For some reason I never thought about women having the same problem. It's nice to hear that some of you can see your vaj jay again, that gives me hope for being able to see my man stuff again someday. Lol. Good luck ladies. An attractive vaj jay is important to most men. Feel free to post before and after pics. Just kidding.

My insurance accepts 6 months of weight watchers or 6 months of a medically supervised diet.

Go see your pcp or surgeon and get on some antidepressants. They will make a world of difference, but do it as soon as possible because it takes a while for the medicine to start working. Hang in there.

I am a BMI of 35 at my first visit with my surgeon. I have comorbidities. I was told by the nurse at Optima who handles bariatrics for UHC that they go with the initial weight and BMI and if it drops below, not to worry.
I was told exactly the same thing by my doctor's office. She said that the only weight and BMI that gets reported to my insurance company is the initial weigh in.

One of those form fitting under armor tee shirts that really shows what you have under the shirt (muscles instead of man boobs). I always wear shirts that are a little large for me to cover up my belly and man boobs. I'd also like some new levi's with a size 36 waist, maybe some cowboy boots and a white button down shirt. Cowboy boots might make me too tall though; I'm already 6'-3". Who knows, I'm going to be rockin' something though.

If you go to check in, then measurements, there is an option to "track additional". You can add whatever you'd like!
Never mind. I went online and found it. I was trying to use my phone and it didn't have that option on there. Thanks anyway!

I haven't used MFP in a while. I can't seem to find where to "check in". Can you help?

Apparently the only measurements you can keep up with in MyFitnessPal is neck, waist & hips. Unless I'm just not doing it correctly. I use an app called "Notes" on my iPhone. I store all kinds of lists and info in there. It's a really simple but useful app. Hope this helps.

So today is my one year surgiversary!! When I began this journey in the spring of 2012 I weighed 240 lbs and felt disgusted by myself. I can honestly say this surgery is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am current at 150 lbs. my goal is to get to 140...VERY PRETTY!

I am currently doing my 6 month medically supervised diet. I had my first check-in with my doctor on 8/13/13. I gained two pounds. Ugh! This 6 month diet is an insurance requirement. My question is: what is my insurance company expecting from me during this diet? Do they want to see that I can stick to a diet and lose weight to prove that I can handle the post-op diet, or are they just confirming that I cannot lose weight on a diet? My diet consists of 1800 calories a day and I'm not even coming close to that. I've also been walking/running on a regular basis. Please advise on what the insurance company wants to see. Thanks!

I'm sorry they are messing with your meds. I assume it has something to do with the surgery? I am on abilify and lamictal and clonazepam. I hope whatever they switch you to works well for you. If not you get up their behinds about getting it rightI am on the same meds as you along with lithium and pristiq. I cannot go off my meds. Did you have to for your surgery? Do you have to crush your medicine now? Thanks!

I go for my seminar in less than two weeks' date=' then will have my first appointment. My insurance doesn't require the 6 months wait so I'm hoping mine will come quickly![/quote']You're fortunate that your insurance does not require a 6 month diet. I have 5 months to go and it seems like forever. Good luck!

I thought this day would never come' date=' today is finally my first appointment. I'm hoping within the next 3 months I will be sleeved:)[/quote']Hello Ms. Dunn. My first appointment is tomorrow (8-8-13). I'm so excited. I have so many questions and I can't wait to get this thing started. Good luck with your appointment.

I have a BMI of 38 and I do have comorbidities so my cutoff is a BMI of 35. I too have been concerned about losing weight. I have my first appointment with my doctor 8/8/13. I will discuss this matter with him and post my findings after my appointment.

Anyone in the Chattanooga, TN area that used/uses Dr. Jaime Ponce. I'm about 5 months away from getting sleeved and have my first appointment with him on 8/8/13.

Hit 189 today' date=' haven't seen this weight since high school! Pic on the left is a year ago June at my daughter's bday party. Photo on the right is today, while buying size 12 AE skinny jeans!! Highest weight 297 Jan of 2012, day of surgery 277 on Sept 17 2012. Amazing journey![/quote']
Newstart, you are so pretty. If I wasn't married I'd chase you down! Lol

Gold Bond makes a product called "Friction Stick" and it works wonderfully. It looks just like a stick of deodorant.

My 4 small incisions have faded to the point where I can pass them off as freckles. The big one' date=' could be mistaken for a birthmark - it's about 1 1/2 across and fading slowly. If I decide to wear a bikini, I think I could do a comb-over with some of my belly hair and hide it. ~:-)[/quote']
Please don't do a comb-over with your belly hair. Hahaha, that was funny.

Thanks guys. I guess I'm concerned about this since I really don't want people to ask me about my scars forever. I'm a guy, so I'll be going shirtless at the pool and stuff. I guess I could always tell people I was stabbed in a bar fight. Lol

Forgive me, but I'm confused. What are these movies about and what do they have to do with getting your Vitamins in easily?
