Those of you thinking of the sleeve
danaevett replied to jc4444's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for your post. I needed to hear that right now. God bless! -
I'm 6'-3 and my goal weight is 215. Any less and I think I'd look too skinny.

THANK YOU LORD IM APPROVED
danaevett replied to Erica2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations. I have to wait 4 more months until I complete my 6 month medically supervised diet before my paperwork can be submitted. I almost feel like I can't wait any longer. lol Again, way to go. -
I emailed my surgeon's office and asked for an explanation of the Program Fees. Below is their answer. Excuse the fonts. That's just the way they came out when I cut & pasted. Our program fee is an administrative fee which helps to offset the practice's cost of services we provide patients, in our comprehensive program that are not covered by insurance. Because this is an administrative fee and covers services that are non-billable to insurance it is an out-of -pocket expense and does not include or get applied toward your deductible, surgical fees, or co-pays. It helps us cover expenses for the EMMI program (the online computer educational service available to you and support persons both before and after service), our pre-operative educational class, educational materials, nutritional teaching supplies, support group expenses, informational sessions, after-hours call support, etc. All patients who wish to participate in our surgical program are charged a program fee. lf you are a cash pay patient, this charge is already included in your total cost of surgery. We strive to offer our patients the best and most comprehensive program in the area. Program fees are a part of most bariatric programs and we strive to maintain a competitive program fee in order to keep your costs reasonable while giving the best care we can.

I am currently pre-op and I think someone used a 196FR bougie on me. I could eat a chubby piglet. Lol

WOW. You're beautiful. -
A CPAP mask can be difficult to get adjusted to. Just set your mind that you're not going to sleep without it. I love mine. I rest so much better. I even take naps with mine.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
danaevett replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was creating a list of my current medications in my phone for reference and realized that I'm on 15 prescriptions. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, low T, restless leg syndrome, and depression. What a physical mess my body is in. 15 prescriptions at age 47; give me a freakin' break. -
Do not buy the Jabra's. I have a pair that I paid over $100 for and they started having static problems (not radio static - ipod static). Also; these fit over the ear and do not fit inside the ear very well making it hard to hear the music when outside. I called Jabra and they said to just re-boot them and they should be fine but it didn't change a thing. I've still got to get back to them. They are the sport type and are sweat proof. They're great except you can't hear very well and they have static. LOL Oh, and they're also pretty large. Too big really.

Wanna get your vitamins in easy?
danaevett replied to smm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Forgive me, but I'm confused. What are these movies about and what do they have to do with getting your vitamins in easily? -
What will IT look like? Maybe be tmi for some...
danaevett replied to ShayLeigh's topic in The Gals' Room
I know that I'm not supposed to post in here, but I'm going to anyway. This is a very interesting topic. As I'm sure you ladies know,or maybe not, us men have trouble with fat buidling up on the mound. For some reason I never thought about women having the same problem. It's nice to hear that some of you can see your vaj jay again, that gives me hope for being able to see my man stuff again someday. Lol. Good luck ladies. An attractive vaj jay is important to most men. Feel free to post before and after pics. Just kidding. -
Paperwork is officially submitted to insurance!
danaevett replied to LisaDM's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My insurance accepts 6 months of weight watchers or 6 months of a medically supervised diet. -
Depression setting in.
danaevett replied to nurseinSD's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Go see your pcp or surgeon and get on some antidepressants. They will make a world of difference, but do it as soon as possible because it takes a while for the medicine to start working. Hang in there. -
BMI exactly 40, will I be denied if i lose any weight?
danaevett replied to missmee's topic in Insurance & Financing
I was told exactly the same thing by my doctor's office. She said that the only weight and BMI that gets reported to my insurance company is the initial weigh in. -
What is the outfit you dream about wearing after you slim down ?
danaevett replied to leslie1958's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One of those form fitting under armor tee shirts that really shows what you have under the shirt (muscles instead of man boobs). I always wear shirts that are a little large for me to cover up my belly and man boobs. I'd also like some new levi's with a size 36 waist, maybe some cowboy boots and a white button down shirt. Cowboy boots might make me too tall though; I'm already 6'-3". Who knows, I'm going to be rockin' something though. -
Never mind. I went online and found it. I was trying to use my phone and it didn't have that option on there. Thanks anyway!

I haven't used MFP in a while. I can't seem to find where to "check in". Can you help?

Apparently the only measurements you can keep up with in MyFitnessPal is neck, waist & hips. Unless I'm just not doing it correctly. I use an app called "Notes" on my iPhone. I store all kinds of lists and info in there. It's a really simple but useful app. Hope this helps.

Good luck. You'll do great.
