After Surgery
Kathie5353 replied to 2ndchanceadict's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it just depends on how well you are feeling -
I found this to be very private and hard to talk about, did not even tell my Dr. I am 7 weeks post op 45 pounds down and I no longer have that issue. Very happy....NSV I guess

August Sleevers?
Kathie5353 replied to Brettharris35's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Drinking can also cause the food you eat to swell and cause pain and possibly a leak in the early stages. That is what my Dr. said. I did it once and never again. OUCHIE! -
So sorry to hear that, Dr. Wes Turton in Columbus GA. and his staff are wonderful! Before, during, and after! http://wgbariatrics.com/

Anyone have post surgical swelling in their abdomin?
Kathie5353 replied to Missj9's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Six weeks out here...This too shall pass, I was swollen too. It does get better! Lots of protein to help heal. -
Isopure is a clear liquid protein drink. I do not like any of the flavors, but many people on this site do. Maybe try that?

Headaches every morning
Kathie5353 replied to Crissigus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you are allowed...Warm cream of wheat was really soothing just go slow, wait at least one minute after each small bite. An electric coffee cup warmer will keep it nice and warm for you. -
Call your Dr. I was able to drink protein drinks my second day after surgery. They gave them to me at the hospital.
-
Tomorrow I am six weeks post-op and I have a stitch trying to come out of my skin about a half inch below my incision. Has anyone else had this happen?
-
Thank you! That is what the Dr. said too. I just wondered if anyone else ever had this. Feeling better, thanks again.
-
Call your Dr. and be sure to drink plenty and get in that protein you need it to feel well and to heal. I wish you well.
