Basically no Protein in almond milk (1g). I'm not going to worry about sugar until i am able to get all your protein in using solid foods. My sugar is pretty good even with the skim milk.

I drink skim milk instead of Water to get my protein in when needed. It tastes great! I have to buy some powdered milk.

How much have you guys lost? I'm down 13 lbs since surgery. Thought it would be more (20?). I can fit a lot more in than most without feeling restriction & it is really bumming me out. Last night I ate 2 SF pudding cups no problem... Felt like I could have eaten another. I've also had 1.5 mozzarella cheese sticks plus 1/4 cup tuna salad with no problem. I'm a monster!!!!

I used the strips in the hospital... It helped me. My gas pains were not that terrible -- like bad menstrual cramps that went away (mostly) after 2.5 days.

Anyone else think their stomach is swollen from the surgery? Mine still feels puffy & weird.

Sorry. It should be gone by the 4th day (or perhaps during the 4th day). I had a constant headache for 3 days including a migraine the 1st night. Felt better the 4th day & have only had 1 headache since about 3 days after surgery.

Don't use mouth wash or breath strips while on antibiotics. I got thrush & I think that is why I got it. Try coconut water during your 1st week of clear liquids (post-op) -- good electrolytes and tastes refreshing (much better than Gatorade).

Sore throat anyone? Didn't hurt until this morning & now it is killing me. Can hardly swallow. Is this a complication symptom or just a cold (virus)?

Sounds like gas or heart burn. Take antacid before bed & maybe try gasx.

What was your BMI (before or at surgery time)? Where did you have your surgery done? Glad you are doing so well! My surgery is tomorrow. Eeeek.

On my way to the airport to fly to San Diego. Surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) in Tj! So very nervous.

I'm also Aug 6th - in TJ Mexico. Today I start my clear liquid diet (and take a laxative to kick off the fun). Anyone else have to do the clear liquid diet for 3 days (or less)? Are the Isopure (clear protein drinks) allowed?

Of you like peanut butter... Try a peanut butter cookie shake (Matrix and Protizyme are the brands I've tried). I also like banana cream shakes. You can order sample packs online (mybariatricpantry.com).

I'm hoping to have surgery in August in Tijuana and I'm debating between 2 doctors (below). Ugh. Totally bombed on the pre-op diet today. I wish my doctor didn't believe in them like other doctors. If I could starve myself successfully I wouldn't be in this situation. Debbie downer right now. Here's to a better tomorrow.
