  1. Post op Day 2 and I feel like I'm constantly working on getting liquids in. Some go down okay, but slowly. Others, particularly the protein ones, feel terrible in my stomach and make me nauseous. I am also so tired but am afraid to sleep for any period of time since I don't get any liquids in while asleep! Lots of gurgling, etc. in the stomach. Thankfully, pain is minimal. Does anyone have any advice/reassurance? I am trying to follow the plan to the letter but my new little tummy doesn't quite want to get with the program! Oh, and I'm walking 10-15 mins of every hour, so I feel good about that. I hope the other 7/17 folks are doing well!

Mandy, thanks for being inspiring to someone like me who is sleeved tomorrow!

    Scared... Need a Pep Talk!

Thank you all for making me feel better! (And feel normal!)
  4. This time tomorrow I will be sleeved... surgery at 7 a.m. I am surprisingly calm and have packed everything I might need. Now, just scared, maybe of the pain, maybe that something will go wrong. I just need some words of encouragement from those of you who have been through it. Thanks in advance. I promise to pay it forward to someone else when the time comes!
  5. I'm the 17th, too... Nervous and anxious, worried about pain and getting in enough liquids afterwards, but ready to get going on the journey!
  6. Thanks in advance to all in this forum who have provided great insights for me so far. Being sleeved on Wednesday, 7/17. Nervous! I have chronic sinus trouble with a lot of post-nasal drip. Worried about how this might affect me after the surgery... lots of gunk running down my throat has upset my stomach in the past. With such little space, I'm wondering if this will be worse or if there are things I can do to make it okay... Does anyone have any experience with VSG and post-nasal drip that they'd be willing to share?
