I like to drink beer over ice and smooth it out. I feel my cup full and have no problems. If I try and drink it with out the ice its to strong and the sleeve acts up. So I drink 1 can and sometimes a half. So far no problems and I drink it pretty slow.

Wow feeling good today, I'm down a total of 60lbs including weight I lost during preop diet today. The last week has been filled with stalls and I didn't think I would see the scales drop until next week. Just wanted to share my progress. I had my sleeve on 07/29/2013 so about a month and half just about .......

I agree sounds like water weight nothing to be alarmed about. I retain a lot of water and at times my body will refuse to let it go without a fight.

I'm 6 weeks out ,as well and just recently started loosing weight again. Stalls are hard but they do pass.

Pre sleeve I could have eaten all that just being greedy. I think I would have only eaten the same size portion you did. It is a waste kids meal is to much at some places.

I have a couple of drinks on the weekend no problems, anymore than that I would be in a coma. I add plenty of ice to my drinks and feel great. I would never want to drink everyday and after being sleeved I couldn't handle it. No way I will be messing up any of my hard work I have achieved thus far. Just pace yourself and take it slow.

I'm the same way I'm 6 weeks out and only 3 bites max on most meals if you want to call it that. I try to eat fatter food to raise the cal and Protein intake but it seems I'm still stuck ): If I had to guess I get get in more calories by drinking alcohol then I do when I eat for the entire day. I don't drink every day of course but oh well ...

Is it possible to live on FF refried beans and blue crabs?
FRED1977 replied to LipstickLady's topic in Food and Nutrition
I feel like everything I eat just sits in my throat for a few minutes then goes down. I'm still eating like only 2 to 3 bites of food then I'm full. I'm going in to my 7th week and hopefully I will start to be able to eat more and drink more so I can loose this weight. -
They are getting paid, and if your not giving the staff any attitude they should be happy with you, calling as long as there open.

Is Smoothy King drinks ok for liquid diet?
FRED1977 replied to Poorehouse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Any sugar free liquid should be ok ,for liquid diet. Your just trying to cut sugar and fat content down. -
I hope my weight is doing this I decided not to weight myself until Sunday because I have been on and off that scale just about everyday, and the number is really going no where. I will wake up loosing ounces then they increase and I'm just tired of feeling like I'm stuck to the scale. I feel good, and my clothes are looser. I'm going to try and relax this weekend. I have been on a stall for about 2 weeks now I believe.

I thought I would have problems leaving sodas alone but it never bothered me. I'm glad I haven't had any caffeine since my pre op and I quit sodas once for over 4 years so it can be done. The good thing about the pre op diet is that if you follow it majority of your cravings are gone after the 2 weeks. I drink crystal light, and walmart great value brands and there ok but I do get tired and switch them out or go back to powerade zero. However I have found that if you put ice in your drinks it goes down smooth. I found this out when I decided to have a strawberitta a while back. My wife still likes to drink diet AW root beer on ice,for some reason giving up soda is not her thing.

Keep it up.....

7 months post op and on a 3 month stall!
FRED1977 replied to skinnygirlinside's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My body retains a lot of fluid for some reason as well. I find even when I don't drink much water I'm still loaded with fluids. I don't know why my body retains so much fluid, prior to being sleeved I had to always pie multiple times a day,and at time sit seemed I was going like 3 times in a hour and a half. 3 months is along time to go and not see any results. I hope you are able to loose more soon. -
2 years out and still obese. :(
FRED1977 replied to Weyrwoman's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think you may want to do more cardio to help with such a small amount to loose and lower your carb intake. I think my body at times refuses to drop weight when I have to many carbs in my system. I have noticed that carbs do keep me feeling fuller at times. I also noticed that I feel like certain foods stick to my sleeve (maybe its in my head). If you can try walking on a treadmill for 30 minutes a day at a 10% incline to see if you can burn enough calories over a period of a couple of weeks. -
Down 111lbs & feeling great!
FRED1977 replied to ste_fun_ny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Looking good keep it up...... -
10 pounds in less than a month is good. Your body is just hanging on to the fat and it won't let it go,mine is doing the same thing. I have lost a pound within the last 2 weeks so don't feel bad. My body thinks its starving and has shut down the weight loss until it feels adjusted. Several years of bad habits just won't let my body accept the new me yet.

Keep up the good work....

Tired of Waiting
FRED1977 replied to stephaniesjourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Really all you can do is wait, that s what really sucks. At least you have several good points that are working in your favor. Hopefully the ball will start rolling for you very soon. Sometimes waiting can be a good thing. If you are at the end of hoops you should have good news. Keep us informed. I was tired of waiting and as my surgery date approached I was still tired. I feel that it happen at the right time. Now the wait for surgery is over and the weight loss wait begins.
