sorry Nikki a few more days to go. I get to go on Thurs. woohoo. For some reason 3cc isn't enough for me. I still can't eat pre-surgery amounts but some days i feel like if I don't stop myself i could eat that much. Hang in there and I hope your fill goes well. My first one was easy. I just hope this one helps a little more.

Hi all!! Kathy so glad your knee surgery went well. Haven't had much to report lately just hangin in there til I can get a fill. Greg so glad to hear that your grandbaby is healthy. Is she delivering at West or East? I work labor and Delivery at West and Nurse Niki can help you out at East. I feellike the last few days my band has been working better myabe it's just me getting used to this way of life.

I talked to Diane at Mid Ohio yesterday. i told her my woes of being able to eat a lot at a time and no weight loss for 2 weeks. she was able to get me in THIS MONTH!! for a fill. I was so excited got on the scales today and dropped 2 more lbs. probable cause I complained I hadn't lost. Murphy's law i guess

hey Greg we haven't officially met but my first fill didn't take long at all. I was in and out in less than an hour including registration time and going up to the 7th floor to get weighed. The fill itself took about 10 minutes total. Easy and painless. good luck to you. I got filled April 1st and can't get another til June 23 which is totally not acceptable as i feel the need for more already!!!

Here iit is 11 days since my first fill and i haven't lost anything:thumbdown:. Now I haven't gaoined either so thath is something i guess. Next fill won't be until June due to the high volume of patients the Dr. has to see. I've already called to see if somehow I can get it moved up to at least the date it's supposed to be which would be the 2nd week in may. At this rate I'll still be at this weight until Summer!!! I thought I'd be losing steadily by now. Still feel like I'm on a diet.

It was good to finally meet most of you today!! I was a little nervous at first but now feel right at home. Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and welcoming. Just hope I can look like those models next year.( If i can ever hit the sweet spot that is!!)

Are we meeting in front of macy's? Aren't there 2 macy's at opposite ends of the mall. Is it the one that used to be kauffmans? Looking forward to seeing you all. I am trying to get one of the girls that got banded the same day I did to join us too!!

I will try to be there by 1:45 please save a seat for me too!!! Melissa said there is omly one person with a band in the style show but I still think it will be a fun event.Can't wait to meet you all:lol:

I had heard throught he grapevine that Dr. Choban's office was a little slow on the disability paperwork. I had to cal them a couple of times to make sure it was submitted so that I wouldn't miss a paycheck. Nurse Niki do you work for Mt. Carmel too? I work in L&D at West wasn't sure if we had met at the pre-op class>

I do have to agree they need some origanizational skills. I got my first fill on April 1st and called the next day to schedule a 6 week appointment thinking the second week of May I could get another fill. The receptionist said they were "a Little" behind on the fills so my appoint ment is JUNE 23 so that's like 9 weeks. I already feel like that is going to be too long of a wait between fills. Maybe in a couple weeks I'll call and beg to be seen sooner( Like that will help) Any way was glad the fill went well.

Hey all! I got my first fill yesterday at Mt. Carmel and the Bariatric Coodinator told me that the style show had been moved from the 7th to the 12th. Not sure how that will affect the Polaris meeting because i am uncsure of the time. She said I would be getting an invitation soon. She said they would be mailed Thurs. I'm not sure of my work schedule but would really like to meet all of you. I feel like now that I am filled a little I can really start to see some changes on that darn scale!!! Anxious to find out what's going on let us know!!

Well it will be 6 wks tomorrow since my surgery> I had my first fill yesterday and it was not bad at all only took about 10min. I got 3cc put into my 10cc band and am anxious to test it out. Supposed to be on mushies today but have only had coffee so far. Feels a little different in my throat so far. I was a little disappointed whwn i wen t for my fill because the 2 people that got filled before me had both lost 19 pounds since surgery. when i went in and had only lost 13 the nurse said oh she broke our streak. I know people lose at different rates but I wanted the optimum results too. that has inspired me to try extra hard. I think drinking with meals has been my downfall so i am really going to try not to do that. I usually am a 2-3 glass of tea a meal girl pre surgery anyway. Since surgery I have been sipping water but starting today I will quit that and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks Busy! we all have our crosses to bear and you are well on your way to not only helping yourself but becoming able to care for your hubyy when the need arises. I had my first fill yesterday and it really wasn't bad at all. i got 3cc in my 10cc band. Was just on liquids yesterday so haven't noticed much difference yet. I am hoping I will get some restriction with this fill but I hear it may take a few to hit "the spot". Can't wait to try rea food to see how it feels.

Had my first fill today with Melissa. I was in and out in no time. Virtually painless I got 3cc in my 10cc band. Just on liquids today so haven't noticed much difference. Much easier than i thought!!

:eek:Hi all I am getting my first fill tomorrow at the hospital. I was told melissa would be doing it under floro and barium. I am ok with her doing it just hoping it will give me some restriction. I don't feel like I have much right now. although i am eating less, I haven't really lost anymore than my inital 14-16 lbs after surgery. I'm confident that Dr. Choban has trust in her staff that she has trained herself. I'll let you all know how it goes. i am just so ready to ghave the restriction i had right after surgery.

Hi all haven't had much success in the past few weeks, still stuck since i started eating regular food again. Easter wasn't too bad but I did invade the chocolate. Waiting impatiently on my first fill April 1. I hope I will be able to calm down the eating then. I guess stress has had a lot to do with it. My hus band lost his job of 34 yrs last Friday and then had to have another heart cath where he got his 10th stent placed. He's only 52 but we were so thankful they could fix it with a stent because we were afraid it would be a bypass this time. God is good!!! Anyway back to strictness today. i go back to work tonight for the first time in a month so i'm anxious to see all my friends at work. A little diappointed that i haven't lost more but hopefully after the fill i will do better.

Well I'm feeling great and saw the Dr. yesterday. Since surgery I've lost 16lbs. I'm back to water aerobics at the YMCA and loving it. I am starting to struggle since I don't have much restriction right now because my first fill isn't for about 21/2 weeks. I feel like i need it now but I'm sure the Dr. knows best. Praying I don't gain any back before then. Trying to stay between 1000-1200 cals until the fill.:biggrin:

Glad to hear everything went well with your surgery Nikki. I saw Dr. Choban yesterday for my post op visit (even tho it's been 3 wks) she said i could get my first fill on April 1st:thumbup: i am very ready because I'm struggling with the old way of eating. Even tho I eat way less I feel like at this point i can eat everything but bread. I'm telling myself bread won't work anyway. Lost 16lbs since surgery and praying for more and not to dgain before April 1st. Good Luck to everyone on the 17th seems like Dr. Choban like to do bands in three's maybe for luck!!

Definitely will try to make this one. I haven't had a fill yet(scheduled April 1) so I am struggling with the old way of eating.:angry_smile: Even though I'm trying to stay within 1000-1200 calories they seem to be the wrong kind of calories. Can't wait til April!!!

Sorry I didn't make it yesterday. Didn't get dug out until after 2:30. Definitely want to make it to the next one. keep us posted
