Alright , I wasn't an angel but better than I've been, so it's dinner (grilled chicken and green beans with a left over salad and I'm taking the dog on a walk. I have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear! I will get on a scale some time this week but not today...... And call the surgeon's office... blah

The first one was taken right before I was banded and the second one was at about 9 months out. I have the band replaced in April of 09 the tubing disconnected from the band so there was no restriction and hence the bad habits were already well underway:(:scared2:

Anyone else going???..... I haven't told anyone in the group I am banded yet. I lost 70 gain 20 with the band, then lost 15 of the 20 regained and now I'm down 19 with weight watchers. I never really learned how to make good food choices with the band alone. I'm 15 pounds to my first goal and I'm chugging along? I'm rethinking my aggressive goal of 155 Anyone else in the same boat??

Hey we should start a secret society of lap band - WW members. Are you guys core or flex????? Julie you are a brave soul.... How did the leader take it. I will come clean after I hit goal

Thanks for replying....I thought I was the only crazy girl that's doubling up on the support. How long have you been with WW after the band???? I love the trinkets and the milestones from WW. I love the challenge of keeping track and the leader for this meeting is very entertaining. Hubby and I are doing WW together (he is not banded) and together we have lost 50 lbs in 9 weeks. Me 20 :biggrin: The learning to make better choices is the ticket, I never had. shakes and high carbs slide right down that band. If they could have invented something to make me hate chocolate, I would be better off.

Elisa, He is an excellent surgeon. Check with NYS licensure department to see if he has ever had a problem, I don't think so. I found after adjusting to life with the band and a life long commitment the hard part . I went to Mercy hospital in RVC, they have a whole floor of bariatric patients. Good Luck

Elisa, I was pretty happy with the group. They do the fills right in the office and I think Geiss sends you out?????? Holover is awesome, he was just getting settled in the practice when I had mine done almost three years ago.

Well, I'm back on the wagon! I was doing so well. Down to 179 last year and I took my eye off the prize and I'm back to 200.0 today. I'm going for a fill tomorrow and back on liquids for as long as I can stand it. This is such a great support place and I got lazy quite frankly, so here I am to reintroduce myself and get with the program. :help::help::help::help::help:

Well holding on for the ride. I'm still battling with food choices everyday and it's so hard. I'm pretty tight so even if it's a bad choice there isn't much of it I can get down. I'm down to 187.5 on my scale which is roughly 2 pounds more than the surgeons so I'm almost done with the damage I did in the last few months.

If an adult cannot get their point across over right and wrong without physically assalting a child, then they have no right being a parent. Who is the adult here. You would think an adult would know how to speak to, reason with, make rules and guidelines without hitting. This is what's wrong with our children! Stop hitting and spoiling them and just plain love and guide them.

Krystal, I understand how you feel and hopefully it will be past tense very soo for you . I was pretty athletic before I gained the weight, I slowly became a spectator. My kids and husband really noticed I wasn't playing with them and I couldn't keep up with them. It sucked. How's the real fill going??

I just want to thank you all for this very entertaining, heated thread. It kept me out of the refrigerator for over 1/2 hour. Debi, I'm sorry to hear your blue. I when through a morning process for food. I still do. I get down when I realize I can never overeat for comfort again. This is a emotional change, hang in there your not alone. PM me if you want to talk I would love a new LB friend. Debby
