10 A beautifu, glorious, sexy cocktail dress that probably fits on my left thigh right now. But I'm keeping the faith. I wore it to a friends wedding 8 1/2 years ago. DH loves it. I was 148lbs then at 5'9" pretty dawn comfortable for me. AAAHHHHHHHH those were the days. I think I'll go visit the closet now.

No exact date yet but my final consult with the surgeon is April 1. I have a family vacation 4/23-4/30 in Disney World. Do not want to be a newbie bandster on vacation. I'm hoping for the first week in May. I have a liberal PPO policy so the surgeon is pretty confident( Because of experience) I won't have trouble getting approved. Who know's I'm trying not to get tooooooooooooooo excited just in case the insurance thing takes long or falls through. Day after St Patrick's day. Does beer count as a pre opt liqiud LOLOLOLOLOL

You guys are so great. Jamin aren't you next week?? We both have 102 to go. I would saw I'd race you but you have 6 -8 weeks on me. So you'll have to save a spot for me on the healthy, thin, feeling fabulous side of life.

Thank you for inspiring me to take the time to figure it out. I hate the numbers but it's a good reminder of where I want to be. -
Hi - did the insurance company pay for yours???
-
OK just figured out this ticker thing - I'm sooooo excited

Wow, I Glad we found each other. Aimee, 8 months for approval , thats brutal- can anyone help with that, employer, union etc. Does aetna specifically not cover this procedure?
-
There is no harm in calling the insurance company and asking which WL procedures are covered. If they don't mention the Lap Band. Ask about it. A few people on these boards have had policies that exclude the lap band while others do not. It's totally up to your particular policy that your employer group purchases. I'm not banded yet, my goal is to 100lbs lighter by this time next year. Your goals??? Debby

Hi CJ and Shamrock, CJ, Have you asked your MD about the band. Is there a particular medical reason the GB was his solution for you or (a big or) does the MD have limited experience with the lap band. As far as your insurance goes, I suggest you get the approval letter from the MD office and see how its worded. It may be in broad enough terms that you can sway them over the the lap band, get a new authorization code without the long pre approval period. Also CJ and Shamrock, I agree with the best me, Start your own thread with infor on yourself. You are going to be surprised how wonderful everyone is here on this board. There are difinitely some experienced bandsters here. Debby Bandster in training

I think my kids have had augmentim in liquid form for ear infections. I'm no pharmacist but why can't they just adjust the liquid for an adult dose. Debby Bandster in training

Has Anyone heard of this..........?

Just some thoughts, I'm in the medical industry. Although it sucks what the other person did I wanted to shead some light on the insurance thing. The employers who purchase these policies customize them to meet their budgets and so on. So saying you have a United HealthCare Policy means absolutely nothing until your individual benefits and rules of the policy are brought to light. It still sucks! I'm with you on the PMS thing - I've been a bear this time around Debby Bandster in training -
I got right in with r. Garber as well. I started the process on Feb15 and will be done with all the consults and testing later this month. I'm happy they are checking so many thinks before surgery. Chris you were banded on 03. How much weight have you lost??? Amy who's your MD and what insurance do you have???? Just curious

Debbydo replied to donali's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
So Blosson, you are truly the animal lover. When are you starting this extended family???? Are you a decendent of Noah? LOLOLOL I would love more fur around the house but the yard isn't so large. We've been planing to add a dog to the mix in the fall. Can't wait! I should be well on the road to being able to walk the thing without huffing. LOL!!!!! Debby -
Variety is the spice of live. I think way tooo much of anything is not good for you. When I was in high school my brother went on this crazy carrot binge - There was so much beta carroteen (SP) he was looking a little orange. LOLOLOLOLOL At 6'4" he definitly was a sight. Debby Bandster in training
