How long did it take for you to feel normal again?

Definitely a full month!! I remember that I kept saying that I couldn't wait to feel like myself again. After my one month checkup, I finally started to feel better everyday. -

I am six weeks post as well. I am a hairdresser so on my feet all day too!! I have to say that each week, I feel better and able to make it through the long day. I am told that getting ALL of your protein and water in is the key to getting your strength back and losing the weight. You'll be in the same situation as me, I'm guessing. It's hard to have a water bottle in my hand at all times. Hang in there! It's getting better every day!!!!

Any Michigan Sleevers?

Love Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids!!! I was sleeved on June 27th by Dr. Kemmeter. -
Ok, I was sleeved on June 27th. I lost 13 pounds on the two week pre-diet. As of this morning, I'm down 35 total. However, I've been at that for the last week now. I had my two week check-up last week and was upgraded to the "mushy" diet. I can't figure out why I haven't lost anymore. The only thing that I can think why is that I'm not getting enough Protein and Water in my day. To be honest, I am doing the best that I can. I never was a water drinker throughout the day prior to surgery. I am having a real hard time with this. I am so tired of drinking that the thought almost makes me nauseous. I feel so bored with the things that I can have and sometimes I just plain don't want to eat or simply can't swallow anything more. The next thing is that I'm having trouble swallowing pills and Vitamins. I had always been able to take pills with no problem before surgery. Now, I just can't get them down. I've switched my vitamins from chewable ( made me gag!) to a regular multi, but I throw that up because of the size and taste. Is my lack if energy coming from these issues that I'm having? I went back to work this week after being off for two weeks. I barely made it through each day. I had to rest between clients and even had to come home a couple times and sleep and then go back and finish my day. Any advise would be appreciated!!! Feeling kinda down.

Hi! I am a hairdresser and am two weeks post op. I had the sleeve on June 27th. I am headed back to work tomorrow. I also took two weeks not sure how things would go. I have so many friends that all had different recovery times so I was taking a guess that two weeks would be plenty. Overall, I feel like I'm ready to go back and get back into the swing of things. But, I have had such a hard time getting all my protein in and in the first week all my water. I have just felt so weak and blah that I am a little nervous. I am planning my food and drinks that I will need throughout the day and gonna try and stick to it. You know as hairdressers, we get so busy we forget to eat or drink anything, sometimes all day! So it's really gonna be different. Good luck and just remember to do what the Dr. says! You'll b happy you did it!!
