Guess what???? I have great news! We are at the 10,000+ pound mark for our weight loss goal. We are officially coming in at 10,770 pounds total to be lost!
This is beyond my wildest imagination, and I am SO excited to be taking this journey with all of you! You are all amazing, and inspirational!
Keep up the wonderful, fantastic weight loss! I'm confident we'll hit that goal!

I just wanted to stop by to let you know that we DID IT! On the pounds lost thread we hit the 10,000 pound weight loss goal. Officially today we have a weight loss goal of 10,770 pounds! AMAZING!

I'm so excited I had to share! First stats - Sleeved 12/3 - Starting weight 271 - Surgery weight 239 - Today's weight 219.
You know those couple of expensive, classic dresses/pants etc you've kept in your closet for 10+ years -just in case you ever get back to a smaller size? (Or perhaps you've subconsciously kept them for mental torture reminding you of what you no longer are?) I tried them on this morning... And THEY FIT!!!! ( With some room to spare!) I've gone from a tight size 20 to a... 14. Amazing! My reaction is odd tho... Excited but very teary at the same time. I've got to look into what this emotion is I guess!
I should also mention, I'm starting to get a lot of the "OMG you look great" comments from coworkers and them asking me to share what I've been doing. So far I've just been saying I've assembled a WL team of doctor, nutritionist and trainer and working hard. It's not a lie... Just not the whole truth. we'll see how long I can get away with that!
To those of you just sleeved or still struggling hang in there! I'm cheering for ya! This journey is amazing!

I am pleased with he progress so far. Adjusting to puree real food has been eye-opening. The tiny amount of food is still difficult to grasp for me. Working on it. Working the sleeve. I trust this will work if I work it.

Hi all! Dec 9 sleever here, and thanks to the lovely weather up here in Canada am freezing my ta-tas off!! Supposed to be -30 C tonight with wind chill of -46 (-22/-50F) brrrr!

My Dr doesn't do a pre op diet, says ppl are healthier for the surgery without it. Was I happy to hear that? Hell ya! Had a hard enough time on liquid post op can't imagine pre op.

I wish there was an exact science...but it will happen randomly throughout your weight loss journey. My good friend who had her sleeve done back in February' said she had her first stall at 5 weeks. I think it just happens when your body says 'what the Sam heck did you do to me?!?'' Typically I have read about a three week stall, but no worries Britt....just stick to the plan and you'll break the stall!

Hang in there and remember that God is in control. All things happen for a reason. We may not understand it, but it's all in his hands. So please stay encouraged, just as you have kept the rest of us encouraged as we have our different struggles. We are all on that mountain with you, but just maybe at different points of the journey. We will all make it to the top and be victorious. For now as you wait, find something to help keep you distracted. My prayers are with you and MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU!!!

I must say the BEST thing I've eaten on puree stage is WENDYS CHILLI pureed in the blender. OMG YES and only $1.60 with tax. (My inner fat girl is saying thank you god for something so good)

I'm in the 200's!!! Been 3 years since I've lived in this neighborhood! Of course, I'm only visiting!!
I stayed the exact same weight for 6 days -- woke up this morning to a 2.5lb loss! Woot!

First 25 down! 18 since surgery 12/17!

I haven't really updated you guys in a while so here goes. Surgery was on 12/18 and the shoulder pain was terrible but I made it through. I really felt tired and run down for about a week. I've had some head hungry and I've have had my time of chewing and spitting out like all of us have had, but I'm really not hungry much anymore. Now that I'm about sixteen days out I have to remember to eat and measure or I get that overfilled feeling with pain and I don't like it. I'm getting in all of the liquids but lately it's hard to get all the Protein in. Guess I'm just getting tired of the flavors. I've enjoyed the retried Beans thinned with chicken broth and some cheese. Mainly stay with Soups, soft eggs, and cheese grits. I can eat about 1/4 cup of solids now so I guess that's good. I watched TLC's my six hundred pound life and it scared me to death because the guy lost 400 pounds and he gained back almost 300 pounds. I hope and pray this doesn't happen to me or us, not after going through all of this. Guess this shows me this surgery is just a tool I could be back here again. It makes me determine to make this change for the rest of my life. I pray that we all succeed in our journeys. Also my prayer and thoughts are with our friend Deez.
