Welcome to the stall Sandi....come in and join us...you're among good company! I was sleeved 4 weeks ago today, and today is day 8 of my stall. I feel thankful that I knew ahead of time that this would happen or I would have been really, really upset and frustrated. This too shall pass, and the we'll be right back at the losing! -

I'm on day 6 of my stall. Today was actually up about a half a pound...I was told to take measurements instead...that didn't make me feel any better...no movement in measurements either. I'm staying off the scale for a few days...but know that this too shall pass. -

Could you all explain the stitch popping? I have never heard of this, my surgeon never mentioned it and I was curious what it means...what it feels like, when it happens, watch...so I don't freak out if it happens and send myself to the ER. -

I hate to give the cliche that everyone is different, but what I can say is to remember that you were pumped full of air and fluids while you were in the hospital, so you probably have lost more than you think. I know I was told to not weigh myself when I got home from the hospital because I wouldn't like what I saw...of course I jumped right on the scale when I got home and was up 5 or 6 pounds from my weight when they weighed me the morning of surgery. Just keep following the plan, and you'll see those pounds go away. -

Deez...good to hear from you. For several days post op I kept complaining because of the pain in my chest when I would swallow water...it just kept feeling like it was getting stuck on the way down. They told me that it was because I was so swollen from the surgery and they promised it would get better....they were right, but it did take just a few days. It'll get better...and I am still praying for you! -

Halfpint - you are more than welcome to post your weigh in whenever you would like. A lot of people do a weekly weigh in on Sunday's, and then I report the total number of pounds lost on Monday's, but as you can tell, people just post their victories any day they want to. I have it set up to track every post, so no pounds get lost. The best way to post is using the following format: HW (highest weight) SW (surgery weight) CW (current weight) We're all about celebrating the victories...even if it is a tenth of a pound...and we also encourage if we hit stalls (since I am on day 5 of mine right now...lol) So feel free to post whenever you like! I'll get your numbers, and you'll see the grand total so far on Monday's! -

I wish there was an exact science...but it will happen randomly throughout your weight loss journey. My good friend who had her sleeve done back in February' said she had her first stall at 5 weeks. I think it just happens when your body says 'what the Sam heck did you do to me?!?'' Typically I have read about a three week stall, but no worries Britt....just stick to the plan and you'll break the stall!
