    Vitamins

I always hesitate to give Vitamin advice, but will tell you what I do... I use the Opurity Vitamins that are specifically made for Sleevers. I do this for several reasons... 1. Research indicated that lab results are better after using these vitamins (my labs have all been perfect since my surgery) 2. This allows you to only have to take one kind of vitamin (plus Calcium and Vitamin D), but you don't have to take a slew of other supplements along with a 'normal' vitamin. I like the ease of taking one vitamin..regardless of the taste...which leads me to the next point... 3. It does taste terrible (they claim it's orange berry flavored...it's more orange-y to me)...but once you chew it up and swallow it, it's done...and FOR ME...it's worth tolerating 15 seconds of icky-ness for the benefits of #1 and #2. (I usually take it in the middle of drinking my Breakfast shake, so then I can just drink some chocolate Peanut Butter tastiness and the taste is gone in seconds). Just my two cents worth...

    quest nutrition

I had emailed Quest to see if I could get a sample of the chips. They said that because it was new, they didn't offer samples. I was very interested to see how they would taste, but won't buy them/pay for shipping without having tried them first. Which flavor did you get? Here are the ingredients (for Mrs. RRn) Protein Blend (Milk Protein Isolate, whey Protein Isolate), Dried Potatoes, Corn Starch, High Oleic Sunflower Oil. Contains less than 2% of the following: Sea Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Flavors. I have been eating Quest bars for probably 6 months, and love them, although I was just introduced to the Victory bar, and although they don't have quite the texture as the Quest bar, I really like them as well, and am getting them now.

Mooncat, I am a bit confused by your numbers. TPL from your HW is 136. TPL from your SW is 121. I wanted to make sure your CW was accurate, because I couldn't calculate a TPL number of 73, and want to make sure I get you down for your total weight loss!

December 2013 Sleever Pounds Lost Log

Hi everyone! My apologies for being MIA for a few weeks. I've been keeping track of everyone's weight loss. I need to ask a favor...if you could please start doing your posts in the following format I would appreciate it...it would help me tremendously: HW (High Weight) SW (Surgery Weight) CW (Current Weight) TPL (Total Pounds Lost) TGP (Total Goal Pounds) The Total Goal Pounds is how many pounds you are wanting to lose in total. The reason for this is because if you haven't posted for awhile, I have removed you from the list, which means that I no longer have your info, and how many pounds you are hoping to lose...or if you newly join, and start posting your numbers, I don't have your goals. This also helps all of us see how close you are between your total pounds lost (to date) and how many pounds you are hoping to lose. If you have any questions, please let me know...thank you so much for using this new format...it will keep me from having to manually adding up each person's loss for the week which will make it quicker for me to post our numbers (which I will do in a separate post)

I appreciate all input. I, too have very fine hair, and I wear it very short (pixie cut), so I have been pretty nervous about it. I take 5000 mcg of Biotin a day, and make sure to maintain my protein levels, and thankfully I haven't seen any come out...keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way

I have a question for you on the hair loss...are you finding it coming out in certain instances, or can you just put your hand in your hair and pull it out? I've been concerned about the potential for hair loss, but I am not sure if it is something you see in your brush, or if you can just pull it out with your hand.
