Atlanta...if you would like, I could update the list for you? I don't want to step on any toes, but I would be happy to help if you would like.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

What I have been told (and have already started) is that I will be taking Flintstones Complete chewable vitamins (or the generic equivilent), a calcium chew, and B12. I started taking the gummy vitamins (which I could have eaten like candy, I liked them so much), but was told that those weren't okay for after the surgery because they don't have the full spectrum of vitamins and minerals needed. She told me about Bariatric Advantage, and those kinds, but just said that 2 Flinstone Completes work just as well and are much less expensive.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi Cwatters, and welcome to the group. I am a fellow December 11th sleever, and we're so excited to have another one in our group! I have my first pre-op appointment next Monday (11/18) and my final pre-op appointment on the 22nd as well! So glad that you are here!

One week until my pre-op appointment and exactly one month until my surgery!
  8. Hi Alex...I tried to submit an issue through the link at the top of the page, but I don't know if it worked, since I didn't get any confirmation message. When I am signed in, and am in my profile, when I go in and try to add someone as a friend who has added me, I am consistently getting an error message indicating that I do not have permission to do that. I have validated that I am logged in, and have been posting on forums and such, but can't seem to get friends added. I don't want people to think I am not interested in being their friend! Any suggestions?

Oh dear Care1175...I'm sorry to hear that your hubby isn't quite supportive...hopefully after the surgery he will be will understand exactly how much it ISN'T taking the easy way out, and he'll be more supportive! Regardless, you have a tremendous amount of support here with a bunch of great people!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi Ashley, and congratulations on your surgery date! I, too have been a little concerned about the pre-op diet, and actually scheduled my surgery so that I could do my pre-op diet in a controlled environment. (My initial date would have meant that my pre-op would have started on Thanksgiving day...I am traveling and there just was no way that I could do a liquid diet on vacation with my family, so I rescheduled for a week later). I gave up caffeine quite some time ago, and so I only drink decaf coffee, and gave up soda already, so although I am expecting the first 1-3 days to be difficult, hopefully it will be less difficult because there won't be caffeine withdrawal. Overall, I couldn't be more excited...one month from this moment, I should be in the hospital (not sure on the time of surgery, so don't know if I will be getting ready to go in, already in, or recovering... lol)

My random thought of the day: As I was walking past Victoria's Secret at the mall the other day: One day soon I will be able to fit into something there other than their perfume!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Atlanta...I couldn't agree with you more. That is actually my profession...a website tester, and I can tell you heads would have rolled if we went to production with these kinds of problems! Hopefully I keep providing Alex with the bugs and issues and it will be back to 'normal' soon. I feel like we're missing a bunch of our group.

Yes, it seems like every time I post, then I become unsubscribed. I did let Alex know this in a different thread, and I always just make sure to resubscribe myself to my threads....a little inconvenient, but will hopefully get worked out!

Yay TeamBarbie! Glad to hear you got your date!
  21. Another thing I am seeing on the iPad app is that after I reply to a thread that I am subscribed to, I lose that subscription (without unsubscribing). I then lose notifications that new posts have been submitted, and have to go back and resubscribe to the thread...(happened after me last post on this thread as well.)

Congrats on the date birdbutch! It'll all be worth it!!!
  25. Much better performance on the iPad app. Only thing I am seeing is when I tap on a thread in the iPad app, it shows me on the last page of the thread, when I am really on the first page. For instance, this thread currently has two pages. When I tap on it, it clearly is showing me the first post of the thread (and at the bottom the radio button says 'previous page' but it says that I am on the second page. I have to tap on the 1 at the top (or tap previous page) it reloads the same page I was on, and then I can tap the 2 and it will bring me to the second page. Other than that' much better performance! (Can you tell I am a tester?). Lol
