Is anyone else having joint or bone pain in the places (on their body) that they ateosing weight? Perhaps the weight is distributed differently and causing pain? I carry most of my weight in the hips, butt, and thighs... Having pain in my joints where my thighs are connected to my pelvis. First in thr front, now in the back too.

I have been taking vitamins (women's multivitamin, prenatal calcium, and B vitamins) and have not noticed any hair loss yet. Getting in most of my protein, still struggle with water intake...

Ok, I'm seeing others have a tell for when they are full, like a burp or hiccup. So far, I have not noticed that I have one. I serve myself very small portions, such as 1/4 cup, so I keep eating until its gone bc that's what my old lifestyle brain is telling me to do. Then I finish and extremely nauseated for a while because I have eaten to much. Perhaps maybe a smaller serving? What do others do to notice then they are full? Also, I used to drink and eat at the same time to moisten my mouth between bites, and it's extremely difficult for me to eat without drinking, everything feels dry, even if it's not, suggestions of how I can help that?

Ok folks... TMI time... Had my first hard lesson today. I graduated to softs today and it was so great! After 3 weeks of liquid I was in heaven tasting and chewing savory food, and a teeny amount was so satisfying! So after dinner, everyone in my family got milkshakes. So after many weeks of no sweets, I looked at everyone enjoying their shakes and thought, "hey, its soft." So I ate about 2 oz. Let me tell you all... DON'T try this! You will pay dearly! Won't go into details, but let me just say I'm so glad I was at home and close to a bathroom for the rest of the evening! This memory will definitely keep me away from sweets!

There are several things I would love to do that I've never done because I'm too fat: 1. Run a 5k, and eventually a 10k 2. Skiing 3. Parasailing 4. Hiking up a mountain 5. Do a pull-up (or 5, or 20) I'm also looking forward to ice skating and bike riding with my son... It's been over 20 years since I've done either of those things. These seem very trivial compared with everyone else's big dreams...

Hi everyone! I'm new to the thread and enjoyed reading... Dr. Nick gave me a sleeve on July 8 at Baylor Plano and egd at victory. (i can agree with what I have read about the iv sticks, I was a pin cushion) I have loved Dr. Nick and his staff and the experience. My first few days were a mess, so much nausea and vomiting! Doing well now, most pain is gone, I think my side stitch popped. Was moving around and felt something similary to cracking joints but in my side, and the excruciating pain is gone. I'm very ready to be off of the liquid diet. Very nice to meet others so close to me! -
I have to vent... Yesterday was my son's birthday and we celebrated at chuck e cheese... I had to sit and watch as everyone enjoyed pizza, wings, salad bar, cake, and ice cream... While I sipped on water. It was worse than when my family took me out to eat at a Mexican restaurant (my favorite food) while out of town and tried to coax me into eating something while I was on my preop liquid diet. Everything smelled so good, and I was dying to have some cake (which is something I love) everyone kept commenting on my willpower, but that had nothing to do with it... The fact that any of that food could have caused complications and sent me to the hospital is what scared me into not eating it. Most times, I feel like nobody around me understands...

Hello everyone! I'm on a little late but I got sleeved July 8 in the Dallas area. It has been great reading through all of these posts knowing I'm not the only one! I too, want some real food, but on liquids another week. My biggest complaint is pain in my left side. Some days I feel great, so I go about my day actively, but then I overdo it and pay the price because then I'm in pain. I'm ready to just be back to "normal," minus the excess weight. P.s. anyone else constipated? (sorry, that's kinda gross)
