reading this i am thinking oh no! I have lost 18lbs in a little under 6 weeks and am supposed to go in for a fill on friday. Would it be evil to drink a lot of water or something ... and wear heavy clothing?

I would love to be 225 by T-Day - I think this is possible 15 lbs? What do you think? My current weight is 240 so the T-day goal would be 225.

That is a great loss in 6 weeks! I had my surgery the day before you but have only lost 18. I get my first fill on friday. Great job!

I am having my first fill on friday and as of today I have lost a little over 18 lbs. Most of it was in the first 2 weeks (10lbs).

I barely ate anything my first 5 days but I was told not to worry about it at all but to just make sure I had at least a cup of milk a day.

How soon until you tried to eat lettuce? I am on solids but haven't had a fill yet. I was told to go easy on tough vegtables at first. I am craving lettuce which is odd because before banding it was my LEAST favorite part of a salad! Should I give it a try? Almost 6 weeks out. thanks!

Although I am not orthodox it should be kosher if there are no animal products used. I can't imagine that there are animal parts in the lap band.

Hi I am leaving for France tomorrow and am still on mushies for another week. Anyone have any ideas for me? Also, do you think they will let me take liquid prescription meds on plane or do I have to check it?

I would call your doctor about the diarrhea - mine put me on flagyl for 10 days to clear it up.

I have been eating scrambled eggs at least once a day on mushy.

My sister stayed with me for 2 nights. I was glad to have her but it was mostly for moral support and helping get prescriptions filled etc.

Slim fast has a lot of sugar. Maybe your blood sugar is crashing after drinking. Maybe try the low carb version or another lower sugar shake.

Does anyone understand the difference? Are mushies one and the same as purees? I assumed that they were since I was never told anything about the mushy only from "puree" right to solids. My puree diet includes fish mashed with fork. Thanks in advance for info.
