  1. first was my face, then my hips and butt in waves -its really odd - sometimes the scale doesn't go down but my pants are falling off. Very mysterious.
  2. It is a mystery to me! Are you exercising a lot? I am and I guess right now it is muscle gain.
  3. I am having the opposite issue right now. I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks but my clothing is getting looser and looser - I almost have nothing left to wear.
  4. Hi Trystelle - I may repeat week 4 too - week 5 looks really hard - I think there is a 20 minute run!

    Thanks Carol, I feel better hearing that. How many fills until you got to 13? I wonder how much I will get next time!

    Carol - hi I am at 9ccs and have another appt scheduled next week - how do you have 13ccs? I thought it only holds 11! I have heard that it can be filled more than 11 .

    What would you say?

    I understand how you feel. Have you researched doctors? Remember bariatric surgeons are completely used to the emotions that go along with this type of surgery. Try and find a doctor who fits with your personality - for example I don't go for the touchy feely type but some people need that. Also, remember that just because you have a consultation doesn't mean that you are going to get a surgery date right away. For me, it took me so long (in my mind) to get the consulation that I was raring to go and had the surgery about 3 weeks later.

Just take it really really slow outside - it may be harder becasue of hills - the place where I run (bridal path in central park) is pretty hilly - sometimes running up, sometimes running down - nothing too steep but still makes it harder. What kind of dogs do you have? Mine is pretty neurotic too but loves running and being outside so this is great for her too. Sometimes I run with my sister's dog too but that takes forever because someone is always freaking out!
  15. Hi Losin, The five minute run was suprisingly easier than I thought it would be. Last week I did week 4 5x ( can you say addictive personality?) and on the last one I did added another minute to the 3 minute run and did an extra 90 second interval so I think I was ready. I did both the 5 minute runs on tuesday and this time I did one 5 minute and one that I am not sure of (between 4 1/2 and 5) becasue the songs weren't exactly 5 minutes. Outdoor running is very pleasurable for me and I get to spend time with my dog and give her some good expercise. Lately she has been throwing off my pace becasue she stops to pee or tries to chase a squirrel - she is a very fast dog so she is like my personal trainer - pulling me along! I think try outside tomorrow!
  16. I accidently deleted my week 4 run from my ipod when I was syncing it yesterday. I was so sad this morning when I got to the park. What I did instead was find songs that were 3 or 5 minutes long. I think it worked ok but my second 5 minute run was only 4 1/2 mins. Close enough. It was FREEZING this morning 36 degrees.

    Spinning class?

    Thanks for asking! The spinning was great! I went to one on Monday night and one this morning ... can you believe it... at 630 am - meant getting up at 545. Have I gone crazy? I don't know if I will be doing the early class again but I did sign up for anothe class on Saturday. My butt is really really really sore. Does that get better? I found I could stand up for all of the standing parts but I am sure that my form is really bad. The teacher is really sweet and helpful though!
  18. I think it could definately be the problem with the nausea but I can't figure out why that would make your heart rate go up. Maybe try again without eating and if you have a similar problem talk to your doctor about it.

  20. I am truly shocked that week 4 wasn't too bad!!! True story - during the second 3 minute run (alternates 5 and 3 min runs) I actually FORGOT I was running and was jerked back into consciousness when the guy told me to stop! This is truly a MAJOR NSV for me - I have never "forgotten" that I was exercising before in my life!

  23. The classes with all the choreography doesn't appeal to me or I would try step. Makes me nervous too!
  24. Losin- I feel like the first time you increase your running time seems harder then the second interval of the same time. I think it is becasue you anticipate it being so hard so once you get through it you feel more confident and it seems easier. I am trying a spinning class today (yikes) becasue I did the running 5 times last week and I don't think that is good for your body when you are starting out. Have you guys done spinning? Friends of mine LOVe it. I will try week 4 tomorrow that will be after 2 days off.

    Spinning class?

    I signed up for a private spinning lesson for Tuesday - an introductory/private trainer kind of thing so that I can learn the proper form etc. Very nervous!
