  1. I was sleeved July 3, 2013 and would really like to get into a on-line group of sleeve buddies for support. I am on FB a lot too. Any suggestions?
  2. I am nearly 3 weeks out and I think the NUT told me grits were okay for soft foods but no seed or skins, I am having a hard time thinking grits are okay but want some so bad!
  3. Is no drinking before and after eating a forever thing? What did your Dr/NUT say? I am really not missing the drinking during the meal part but the timing the before/after time is a drag. Especially when I am behind on fluids for the day.
  4. First day back to work today and it felt like I was playing the child's game, Red Light (wait 30 minutes, eat, wait 30 minutes); Green Light, (sip, sip, sip!) and trying to work! My head is swimming! I am trying to find my routine: sip, sip, sip you need 64 oz, but stop 30 mins prior-eat slow-wait 30 mins after eating, drink your protein- need 80 grams, but don't take your Calcium within 30 mins of dairy, take your multi Vitamin twice a day but not close to your calcium, start introducing soft foods. I can't get it all in? I was so out of sync, when I got home my husband had boiled some chicken for dinner. I felt bad because I drank a Protein shake on the way home trying to catch up. I asked him to give me a few moments because of the protein but mindlessly kept sipping realizing once I got my serving, oh wait, I have to wait 30 minutes before I can eat! I know it's not that difficult, many of you are doing it but I was frustrated today just not finding the rhythm of it all today. Any suggestions on how to get it all in? Every time my boss came over I had a drink to my mouth. I feel like coming up with a gadget to come up with hands free sipping but o,yeah no straws. Welcome to my new life:-) and btw I am loving my sleeve!

    Red Light; Green Light

Sorry but I must correct myself: it's the multi vit. That you keep away from dairy not the calcium. I just rechecked my sheet from NUT.
  6. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the post but I must correct myself: it's the multi vit. That you keep away from dairy not the calcium. I just rechecked my sheet from NUT.
  7. Don, yes multi has iron and NUT said not to do calcium close to dairy

  18. Anyone ever heard of the surgeon finding a hole in the diaphragm? My sleeve was done July 3rd and I went in knowing that the surgeon planned to repair my Hiatal hernia and remove my gallbladder at the same time. He show us pictures of the baseball size hole he found in my diaphragm, A diaphragmatic hernia. He used a "cows heart membrane" that was available to him that day to seal the hole. How cool is that?

Awesome, so glad to me you Progow8 and April! Are you both still on liquids? I am full liquids till week3 (getting old), lost 23lbs and going back to work 7/22. I feel good, just haven't gotten all my energy back yet. I may a "summer sleever" page on FB too. I love being connected with other sleevers!
