According to the chart at my doctor's office, a 10 year old should weigh about 70 pounds. That's how much I've lost this year, 25 of it since my surgery 9/16. I'm feeling pretty good about that right now! Had my one month follow up appointment this afternoon and I had prepared myself to be lectured by the surgeon about not having lost enough weight. Surprisingly, he was happy with my progress as well. Of course he couldn't let me enjoy it for long, because he made sure to remind me that 25 pounds, considering what I have to lose, is just a drop in the bucket. Wants me to lose 90 pounds in the next five months, and I honestly have no idea if that's doable or not but I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing since apparently it's working! I'm having a lot of people come up to me at work now commenting on the fact that I'm losing weight, funny how that happens. Nobody goes up to a coworker and says, "hey man, looks like you've aired up that old spare tire". I don't mind the questions, just don't understand why people care so much about someone else's body. /shrug I looked in the mirror today and I saw a real difference in my appearance, talk about surreal! I'm really looking forward to seeing what I look like in another 70 pounds! And collar bones, I wanna see my collar bones!!

so awesome! congratulations! -
Thank you! I learned how when I was 12 years old, so I've been doing it going on 26 years now. It's relaxing to me, but I think I need to look for hobby that's a bit more active to share time with my crochet!

Thank you!

I don't know if I would have had the will power to throw it away' date=' good for you! I ate 2 bites of pumpkin pie guts over the weekend, no crust just the filing. I think I saw a recipe somewhere for making it with protein added. Gonna have to look for that. I crochet, and enter a toy dragon that I made this summer.

I will have my first post surgery date, in a couple of weeks. Guy knows about my surgery, he sent me flowers while I was in the hospital and talked to me on phone pre op to help me through jitters then talked to me immediately post op and through the night, making sure I was ok. We've been friends for over a year, if only he didn't live in Georgia... I will be 6 weeks out by time he visits so we will go to dinner and I'll watch him eat! Lol

Just putting it out there, so 'dirty' little secrets may see the light of day!

It doesn't have any kind of a special taste, imo. I made one once and it was basically a chocolate cake recipe with a lot of red food coloring, the icing was better than the cake. Maybe I just had a bad recipe though. -
I ate an egg...

9/16 and I can't get more than a couple of bites in, and what I do manage to eat feels like a brick in my stomach. -
14 miles today plus the 4 I did yesterday, bring me to 61 for the month. I'm sure I'll hop on the bike again later today since I'm home all weekend with no plans, might as well exercise!

My ex-in laws are also filipino and when my marriage ended the first thing my sil mentioned was me losing weight to get my husband back. It didn't matter of course, that I left him and didn't want him back lol. -
How Many Days In The Hospital After Surgery
kwigillingok replied to Bryan_G's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went home the following afternoon though in hindsight I probably would have benefited by staying another night. -
I can't do hard boiled or scrambled eggs at all. How do you make a soft boiled egg? Does the white stay wet? I can't eat an egg if the white is wet, makes me gag.

15 miles today which brings me to 43 for the month.

Eggs just don't seem to work for me either. This morning I cooked 1/4 c of egg substitute and couldn't even eat half of it. Gave me heartburn and left me feeling like I had a lump in my throat. Had tuna yesterday though and that seemed to go down fine.

and 63 pounds total since starting the process! I can see a difference, but best of all I FEEL a difference. ETA: the one on the left is me at highest weight, right was taken yesterday!

I did 5 miles before work this morning, which I think brings me to 18 for the month.

My surgeon is also REALLY tough, when I had a follow up appointment 9 days post surgery he was upset I'd only lost 11 pounds. I've lost the same as you, 17 pounds in 2 weeks and he's not a happy camper. When I brought it up in my support group and was asked who my surgeon was everyone kinda just said "ohhh" so I'm just going to take what he says regarding my weight with a grain of salt. I've never been able to lose 17 pounds in 2 weeks ever in my life, and I've lost 61 pounds since beginning this whole process! I'm just gonna try to get my exercise in every day and eat what I'm supposed to eat (I can't eat anything anyway so that's not an issue at this point) and the weight will come off. Maybe not as fast as he'd like it to but oh well. I didn't get to this weight overnight and I'm not going to lose it overnight either.

That's what I do, turn on Netflix and start pedaling away! Before I know it I've watched three episodes of whatever show I turned on.
