I couldn't physically consume anymore. But that's the point of surgery. I'm definitely able to eat a little more now but I'm desperately afraid of gaining weight back. I pretty much only eat high protein foods now and in the beginning. Eggs, chicken, fish, turkey, low fat cheese, protein shakes and some fruits and veggies.

In the beginning, probably the first 4 months or so I don't think I ever went above 600. I can't be that restrictive anymore. If I go below 500 for more than a day or so I'm weak and light headed

Has anyone noticed when they increase their calories occasionally they actually lose weight? I have been in a stall for about a month now. Yesterday I ate more than I normally would have (still not a lot by normal standards) and when I got on the scale this morning I had lost 3 lbs. just wondering if anyone else he noticed this when increasing calories on occasion?

I'm about 8 months out and only about 20 lbs from goal so this is definitely my longest stall but I knew it be harder for the last few pounds. I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale after eating way more than normal. I usually stay under 800 calories but I'm wondering it I should increase it though?

Diaphragm And Lower Stomach Pain
ohh_mandyy posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm about 6 months out from surgery. Haven't had a single issue yet, but the past few days I've been having some chest pain that feels like it's in my diaphragm and lower stomach pain on my left side, whenever I eat. It's not unbearable but it's definitely there. I'm not sure if it's sleeve related or not. Had anyone else experienced this? -

Yes I do. But I thought gall bladder pain was on the right side? -
I took them for 3 weeks after surgery and my insurance paid for the generic of lovenox which is enoxaparin.

How do you know if you're dehydrated? And if so, how did you fix it or did you need to get iv fluids? I've had a bad headache all day, have been very thirsty, feel week and am very shaky. Guessing I'm dehydrated but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Thank you. Hadn't thought of that...

Best and worst "compliments"
ohh_mandyy replied to Healthier2day1227's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The best compliment was from a little girl who I did not know. I was working and she walked right up to me and said "you're so pretty!" Hearing this from a child was so different than hearing it from adults. Children are just so honest whether we like it or not and it totally made my day. The worst "compliment" was from my mother. I wait tables a couple nights a week for a little extra cash so my mother proceeded to tell me that I should try to work at a nicer restaurant because now that I'm skinny and attractive they will probably hire me. Like they never would have hired me before. -

Highest weight 273 Current weight 188. Had my surgery May 15, 2013 : ) -
I feel the exact same way. I went from a 20 to a 12 and am still losing. I'm still shocked when people notice I've lost weight. And for the first time in like, forever, someone called me SKINNY!!! I was in shock! I still don't feel like that's a term that will ever apply to me. I'd like to one day see in the mirror what everyone around me seems to see.

I used care credit for my surgery. It's medical care financing. Interest free for 5 years when a certain amount is spent. -
