    110 lbs gone w/ pics

What an inspiration you are for us all! Congratulation on your success and hard work!
  2. Several years ago, twelve to be exact, I had laparoscopic gallbladder surgery that resulted in near death. The surgeon unknowingly accidentally punctured my bile duct and a week later I was rushed into exploratory emergency surgery from bile peritonitis and a dye test to try and find the leak which they could not. so I left the hospital with a drain and the bile duct leak eventually sealed on its own. I am now afraid there may be internal scar tissue that could cause complications during my gastric sleeve surgery. I would love to hear from others who had previous abdominal surgery prior to their sleeve and if there were any complications that arose due to excess interior scar tissue. THANKS
  3. First of all I did not mention anyones name but you and Susan obviously know who Im talking about and apparently so do alot of others cause its amazing how many private messages I have received from people agreeing with me, and all in a matter of minutes. Seems people are just to scared to say it for fear of being brought down. Seems their is one rule for certain people and another for the rest of us. GOOD DAY!
  4. As a matter of fact, I sure would have known about Mexico and finding Drs is not a problem either its just a matter of a google search for mexico gastric sleeve surgery. I did not need to come to this forum to to find a Dr or a cordinator either. I had already found plenty of Coordinator/Dr web sites! I came here to get honest opinions from people who have had good and bad experiences there and from what Drs they had used. I have had some PM message conversations from some really nice people and I apologize for using the word "all" in reference to the crazy people on this site. I do not think that everyone on here is crazy but let me tell you one thing, it is quite obvious that there is in fact a great deal of craziness going on around here.
  5. I'm right there with you 'Cananda here' and I've come to the conclusion that we need to be scared! Unfortunately its these crazy ppl on this forum that we need to be scared of.
  6. I am so saddened to hear about this. i feal so sorry for that poor man and his family, how horrible! I was so close to paying my deposit, but now I'm definitely going to hold off until I learn more. However, will any of us ever know the truth. It has been stated that an embolism was the cause of death, but of coarse that would help to take the responsibility off of the surgeon and staff. I'm not saying that they are not telling the truth, but how will we ever know. In addition, I called last week and spoke with a coordinator from MBC about surgery with the Valenzuela/ Cabrera team and was told that Dr Cabrera is no longer with MBC or Dr Valenzuela, she told me he wanted a bigger piece of the pie and he is now on his own. However it looks like he is still operating at Mi Doctor. There has to be more to this story as well. I might be checking into having him do my surgery instead.
  7. Oh, and one more thing! *susan* and laura-ven, you guys need to stop with the jokes! This is a very serious thing for me and quite upsetting, so PLEASE act like the veterans you are suppose to be and cut the crap, cause I ain't laughing!
  8. MumtazG38, let us know how you are doing. Praying all went well for you yesterday!
  9. Just wondering if anyone has gone to Mexico alone for their surgery and if so how did you do. My husband needs to stay home to take care of our pets and I don't really want to put anyone else out by asking them to accompany me.

    I hate skinny Beotchs

Girl you are cracking me up! That is too funny, but I know what you mean. I've definitely seen her type. Even people who haven't had WLS but lose some weight, the word is SOME not ALL that they need to lose and they suddenly see themselves as looking like Barbie and it just ain't so! I don't know what mirror they are looking in but they need to throw it out cause its lying BIG TIME!
  11. If you dont mind me asking MamaDupa, who did your surgery? The Dr I am strongly considering is Dr Louisiana Valenzuela, who also charges $4500. I have not been able to get a lot of reviews, but what I have seen was good. I have been considering some dental work in Mexico as well, but that is a big difference from internal surgery. At this point I am really confused about what to do.

    Going alone!

NoMoreDonuts, My husband does not want me to go alone, but if he comes, that means I will have to tell my mom and dad who live right down the road and would be the one's taking care of my animals. That wouldnt be so bad but 2 yrs ago my brother flew to California, bought a truck and drove it back here to Louisiana. It sent her into a tailspin of extreme anxiety that took months to get her out of. I shutter to think what going to Tijuana Mexico for weight loss surgery would do. Trying to get over there and back without her knowing anything about it until its all over. Just thinking about it is stressing me out and I want to go eat something.

    I hate skinny Beotchs

I have a VERY hard time being around my husbands family because the women(sisters and mom) talk frequently about their weight and their fat rolls and how big their butt is, and the fact is they are all very slim. One sister inlaw is actually extremely thin, like a size 0. when we get together for family bbq's or party's, the women of this family always wind up standing around talking about their muffin tops, pointing at their butts saying "baby got back" etc. You get the picture? I am an extremely big girl, I am 5'4" and i weigh 255lbs, so you can imagine how I feel standing around listening to a bunch of skinny girls talk about how fat they are. I want to go crawl into a corner and cry. If they really think they are fat, what in the heck do they think about me? My sister said that most likely they are not even thinking about me or how their behavior makes me feel. Most likely they are just too self absorbed to even realize that their comments are hurtful and offensive. So,not because of them or anyone else, but only for myself, I will have the surgery done and I promise that when I loose the weight and am feeling like their is some part of my body, some imperfection that is just not the way I want it to be, that I will NEVER, REPEAT NEVER stand around and talk about it in front of someone who would obviously give anything to be my size.
