7 Months and 75 pounds Down

You look great! Congrats. Love your shoes. I think I'd fall flat on my behind if I tried to walk in those.

    HELP

The purpose of the liquid diet is to shrink your liver so that you are at a reduced risk of complications from things like lesions (can be fatal), leaks, your surgeon not being able to see where s/he is operating. It's not for weight loss. It's for something much much more serious than that. If the thought of surgical complications doesn't convince you to stop eating, I'm not sure what else to suggest? We all get that it's not easy. But if your doc puts you on it, then it's a matter of health, life, and peace of mind to follow it. Don't look at it as "just a piece of chicken". Think of it as "something that could cause surgical complications" because really, it could well be that.
  4. This is my 1.5 year old lab, Gracie. That's my chair she's in, that's my g2 she wants. And if you think I spoil her, you should see my husband. We all love that dog beyond logic or reason.
  5. Okay I am going to be very honest. After all your posts about all your loose skin and how much you had, and how you needed surgery, ext? I expected something quite different than what I see. To me, you look freaking amazing. You see loose skin, I see a long, lean, slender body. Totally understand why you feel the way you do because we are our own worst critics, but just believe me, you look great!

    Oh, do please shut up!

I'm confused. Weren't you the one that started a thread for dirty confessions that amounted to nothing but people telling about all the "bad" foods they ate? Personally I don't care either way, people can whine or not and I can choose to read and respond or not, I'm just trying to make sense of how dirty confessions and no guilt go together. Confession to me means I did something wrong, which is really what the people that are driving you bat **** are saying right? I dunno. It's been a long couple of days so forgive me if I'm not following the thread here. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    my bmi 36

My starting I weight was 230 and I am 5'6. I have indeed heard of people getting closed up and not having surgery because their liver was enlarged. If you trust your doctor to cut out 85% of your stomach! you should follow his pre-op to the letter. I wish I had to worry about getting too small on pre-op! I only lost 8 lbs on 2 weeks of nothing but 3 Protein shakes and 2-3 cups of vegetable Soup.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

+1.8 miles in airport shenanigans = 17.5 miles. Here's a lesson in how to do that, boys and girls. Arrive Miami airport after practically running through Jacksonville airport. Deplane gate d60 and decide to walk to d24. Yay. Walk walk walk, watch the sky train go by 4 stations you passed on. get to d24. Receive text saying gate changed to d27. Walk. Receive text saying gate d11. Give up and decide this is a good time for dinner. So I could possibly add another half mile still Then again my dinner is salami, ham, proscuitto and olives! In an airport. I'm happy.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

I want a category for braving Florida in a suit and heels. Sweating like a construction worker. Surely I'm burning some calories?
  12. So of course the day I decide to increase calories? I didn't even eat 600 today and I'm full. Smh. I think my body just likes to f--k with me.

    I'm sad :-(

The first two weeks I DREAMED about every type of delicious food! It does away. Hang in there

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

It's really my own responsibility and I totally own it. I needed to talk to my husband about it before I just took off on my own, but this weekend was hectic and I didn't get time to talk it over with him. I know he will understand. It's 10:45 pm in Florida and we're still working and tomorrow I won't get to Boston until midnight. So much for being able it work out tonight or tomorrow. Sigh. Real life is interfering with my fantasy life.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

That's further ahead than I am! Enjoy your progress.
  16. Yes you read that right. I've had to go through my closet and bag up suits. At least 3 huge black garbage bags full of them. I am on a biz trip now and we were trying on my smaller suits. After creating enough for one more garbage bag, my husband and I celebrated every time we found one that was still too TIGHT because I could at least save that and count on being able to wear it soon! How WEIRD is that??! In the old days I would have been so depressed that they were tight, but now they're my insurance that I don't have to go shop quite yet (unless it's for books, electronics, or gadgets, I HATE shopping). Side note, my husband's life has changed too. My son and he were joking about getting hookers to come over while I was traveling. I reminded him that these days, his version of naughty was going to be ordering a pizza :-D It wouldn't be so funny if it weren't also true. Anyway, happy about my clothes! What are your NSVs of things that might have made you sad but now make you happy? Another for me is not eating cake. Would have made me sad, but now it makes me happy.
