  2. You know, so many adults are lactose intolerant, it's not even funny. And amongst non-whites, 90%+ are lactose-intolerant, unless you are Masai and your ancestors grew up on milk and blood Our bodies are not really made to process milk as adults.

    Tummy tuck today!

You just have to promise me I won't suddenly have a "big abs" moment when I casually click to see what's going on though.

    Tummy tuck today!

I guess I better make some popcorn and settle in, coz this thread is getting better and better. Now we're talking thongs and ties! I haven't had this much excitement with another man in a long time!
  5. My doctor in Mexico, Guillermo Alvarez sent us home with a very informative book chock full of information for us. When I see some of the questions posed on this forum by people who were given no guidance at all despite having their surgery here, I realize how lucky I got. His book is available on Amazon and it's a worthwhile resource. Others have also googled and found clear directions for post-ops posted by various hospitals here. Might be something worth trying?

Get by with a little help....

So sorry to hear about your tough week. I think that's going to happen to us all from time to time. As you said, since you've recognized it, that seems to be great progress compared to before, and of course, the sleeve is probably limiting the damage that you can do. Growth is always challenging and painful isn't it? Hope you are soon on the other side of it, and as the previous poster mentioned, going back to Protein, getting rid of junk, drinking more Water, may all help you get back on track. good luck!

    Protein drinks

  9. Our doctor wanted us on Clear Liquids for the first week. We were to be on full liquids for weeks 2-3. For me, I enjoyed warm drinks, they went down much easier than did cold ones so the soups worked very well. At first, we were only able to drink a few sips, about 2 oz at a time. But by the end of week 3, we were drinking 4-6 oz at a time with no trouble. I've been too busy trying other recipes now, but really need to go back and make some of them so I can get some more Protein in during the day.

    August sleevers progress

I had surgery August 2nd. Counting pre-op, I've lost 34 lbs in 12 weeks. That's with a 12 day stall once, and currently have been stuck for 11 days today with no signs of a let up. I have to remind myself that even if I stall, at least I'm not putting ON weight like the old days.

Not about surgery but cant help it

How cool! I saw pics of you in your wedding dress on another thread. You looked so beautiful. I hope tomorrow and all the days after are even better than what you dreamed they could be. Congratulations!
  16. Yes two months. The man has lost 51 lb in two months. Look at the difference! I will mention he is 60 years old and still had these fast results. If you're a young male and are wondering whether to get the surgery, I hope this helps in your decision making. HW 298 SW 278 CW 227

    Beef Jerky anyone?

Thanks to this thread, my husband and I are sitting here watching a movie, munching on a little jerky. I had no idea how much protein it has in just one ounce. What a good find! Thanks for starting this thread.
  18. I am so very proud of him. He's done an amazing job with no whining, complaining or bitching. I've always thought he was pretty darn special, but the more stuff we go through, the more I realize what a gem I found.

    Fish dinner

We too eat a lot of fish now. But all my food goes down better if it is moist and has a bit of sauce mixed or on the side. Doesn't take much, just a half spoon on salads, a small dollop of quacks ole, a little Greek yogurt--all of these help us a lot. My husband had a horrible reaction to the chicken dry last night. Today I mixed it with a little Greek yogurt dip and he was just fine. So that might help as well when you try it the next time.
  20. Oh me too! Sleeved same day as me btw. Mmm hmm. Let's just say I'm NOT at minus 50 lbs it helps that I'm crazy about him otherwise I'd be bent out of shape.
