  1. Hi there. In my blog at www.sleevers.wordpresss,com I have some Soup recipes with shrimp, lobster and egg. Also one with chicken that you could do with fish/shrimp instead. Search for "full liquids" and you will see them. If you do eggs you might like the hot and sour soup and egg drop too. They are all full liquids with veg and Protein. You could also do lentil Soups with a little Protein powder blended in.

    What shrinks your liver?

Forget about what others are doing. They are disobeying their doctor's advice in some case. You just stick to your doctors orders and take care of your poor, new tummy. The liquids are so that you don't develop a leak or blow a staple out of your stomach. Definitely not worth risking death or months in the hospital with your family worrying, for the sake of a pickle or anything really.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

I suggested that last time but people wanted to keep it together. I think a lot of newbies (like me!) don't sign up for it thinking you have to do 100. I know I thought that initially. Splitting it will get more people to participate, IMHO.

You are. We're all too lazy to keep watching your baby now that you're all better J/k. The challenge is a butter thing in my mind so I pick you.

    What shrinks your liver?

What shrinks your liver are the following: Lower caloric intake Lower fat intake Lower carb intake. I think we're told to be on a liquid Protein diet because it meets all those requirements without much thought or choice.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

I know I'm making this hard for myself by not getting some miles in today but my plan is to sit on my butt. I've been swamped at work and the sudden cold weather is making me lazy.
  10. I can eat a lot more ground beef than I can of dry chicken breast. But I agree, measure out your food and when it's finished, you're done eating. As to soups, I've decided I will make veggie soups. There are very few calories in most of those, they are good for us, and they're yummy esp in cold weather. Seems like a good way to go.
  11. You know I asked about this, and many, many people are still drinking a shake even a year out. We're three months out and some days, we have to have two shakes before we get our 60-80 gms of protein in. We definitely need at least one daily. On my blog, I have some savory protein Soup recipes (made with real meat and veg, not protein powder), and you may enjoy some of those instead of sweet shakes. But don't worry about it for at least 6 months, I'd say. Use the shakes if you need to. blog is www.sleevers.wordpress.com and you can search for "full liquids" to get easy recipes for egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, shrimp bisque, lobster bisque, chicken and mushroom soup etc.

    Ladies HELP!

Have a great weekend?? What do you mean have a great weekend? Did you forget you owe us a report tonight or tomorrow after the date??
  13. oops Hi he! and welcome
  14. The problem is, that at first you can't tell easily. Your stomach is swollen and somewhat numb. Initially, we just weighed/measured out 1/4 c of food, and when that was gone, we considered ourselves finished. Trial and error demonstrated that within a few weeks, I could comfortably hold 2 oz, and my husband could hold 4 oz. So then we started to serve ourselves that amount, and considered the meal over when either the food was all gone, or we had a tight, full feeling which starts to come on within a few weeks of starting soft/solids. Three months into it, we're still doing that. You will also find that some foods sit "harder" than others initially. I had trouble with eggs, but not cheese. chicken, but not ground beef. You will find your own "easy" foods. The moister they are, the easier they go down. The more fat it has, the easier it goes down unfortunately. STOP when you are uncomfortable. Do not force it. Go back to it within an hour or three and finish then. With your first meal, it's more for getting used to eating, not really for nourishment yet. You can always supplement with shakes for a bit longer.
  15. I'm 3 months out and have lost 34 lbs. I've stalled at least 3 times for 12+ days each time and I am doing my water protein, walking/biking and less than 700 calories. I started at 230 lbs and am 195 now. It can get frustrating but we may just need to be patient. You're doing all the right things. Just keep at it, and maybe set your expectations differently. I've stopped reading the "I lost 80 lbs in 10 weeks" threads. They just dishearten me.

    Fast Food

We sometimes do Wendy's small chili and eat about half of it. Good protein and fiber for only 90 calories.

    October 100 Mile Challange!

I'm definitely claiming 2 miles today. walked lots. so 52. Fitbit said they "might" replace it. Won't that be nice?? Until then, I will use my reliable old pedometer starting tomorrow now that I'm back home. Waiting impatiently until tomorrow morning for my "official" post vacation weigh in. Trying not to get my hopes up that my third stall in 3 months has ended.

wow! Gorgeous! Whatever sweater you wear, try not to hide your curves that the dress highlights. So shrug or lightweight cardi, not like, you know sweater. With the curves and the hint of cleavage, I think you'll be working it! Love it. And remember to HAVE FUN.
