Hi there on my blog, www.sleevers.wordpress.com, I have lots of recipes that will work for the soft foods stage. Just search for the phrase "soft foods" to get an idea. Once you get a feel for it, you'll have good ideas in your own too.

Have You Lost Without The Work Outs?
gamergirl replied to KeeWee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I cannot currently work out. Most days I can go for walks, but not every day. Moat days I can stay active, but not all the time. I suspect this will hurt me in the long run, and I won't lose as much as people who can work out, but at 3 months, I've lost half my excess weight, and almost ALL the loss has come from fat, very little (5lbs out of 42) from muscle. -
I've lost a 2-year old, my husband lost a mid size microwave. You?

THIS is how much my husband has now lost. 70 lbs. Which is as much as this spoiled rotten dog weighs. -
Good luck on the surgery!

Hello. My Name Is Revs And I'm A Carboholic And Hungry!
gamergirl replied to Madam Reverie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Some people do lose hunger but many of us don't. It's normal and natural to be hungry when you're eating as little as we are. It's very different from pre-op hunger though. It's REAL hunger and you'd eat anything just to fuel yourself. Not like, "I'm hungry but only if it's a yummy pizza". More like "feed me!NOW, I'll eat whatever I domt care,I need to eat". And then 2-4 oz later you're dome and life resumes and you don't think about it until the next meal time. SO much more mangeable. -
Hello. My Name Is Revs And I'm A Carboholic And Hungry!
gamergirl replied to Madam Reverie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 3 months out and I keep calories under 700, and get 40%from Protein, 40% fat, 20% carbs. I eat a lot of meat, fish, chicken ( really tough for us), ground beef, shrimp, lobster and fish. I too eat 3 meals and 2 Snacks but the difference between meals and snacks is not obvious. I eat fewer veggies than I would like because the protein goes thunk so hard and I get full on 2-3 oz of meat. If I get hungry before my next meal time, I start drinking liquids to tide me over. They seem to help stave off the hunger, whether real or perceived. No bread, Pasta, rice. Tortillas, chips, cake, etc during this losing phase. I still think I might add them later, but not right now. We'll see how it goes I guess. But right now, they just make me ravenous. I had half a baked pear this morning---SO hungry after that! Ridiculous. I had no idea half a pear would set me off but it did. If you are on myfitnesspal, my id is dr_urvashi and you can see what I'm eating. Several of us are on there if you'd like to join us. HTH -
Change of topic because I need to share happy and since no one can see the compliments thread (or most any other threads if it comes to it), I am posting it here because I love you guys. My client told me I look like a coke bottle This is such a cultural reference that I wasn't sure I got it. I had to come back and ask my team if that was a good thing or not. Twenty-seven years in this country and there are still certain things... but anyway...apparently it's a good thing, and apparently I look like one. yay me!

it's horrible on the app. but it actually shows up appropriately on the computer. I struggle with the new app's formatting, it's showing of it's html code which I then feel like I should be debugging...it's driving me batty.

Im at the jiggly belly stage. You?
gamergirl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
DO try not to get turned on as I share this..but you know how when we're really fat, we're like..solid? Like big thighs, big calves, but they're all solid. You just look like a big strong girl/boy, right? Well now that I'm losing fat, I'm at the jiggly stage. My stomach is a special disaster area. It's like....loose. And jiggly, and squishy and kinda...floppy. Like I said, try not to get turned on! Ewwww! I mean I'm glad I'm losing weight don't get me wrong, but it wasn't prepared for this. I could almost tell myself I look smaller, but worse. I rush to say I'm not saying I look worse, I'm just saying...wasn't expecting this. Take note, you pre-oppers. If you're like me, you may not love your new body at every stage. For the vets, I'm guessing we go through a few times of firm up and jiggly, before it's all over right? Or is it jigglyville from here on out? -
Hah! Thank you. You made me smile, and feel cared for this morning. I feel hugged! You're right, I did say that didn't i? Hoist by my own petard! Who knew someone would actually read my posts? This has always been my problem in the past. I overdo if, then I hurt so I can't do anything at all, and then when I can...you guessed it, I over do it. Maybe I should try something different this time....

Yesterday I had Breakfast: pineapple and cottage cheese Lunch: chicken salad and an apple and pear salad Dinner: grilled beef skewers Snack: eggplant dip with cucumbers Snack: iced soy latte. Mistake. They gave me a grande, I didn't notice next thing you know 180 calories down. Although it had Protein so maybe not too bad. Even though I'm traveling, no shakes or bars yesterday.

Omg you're tiny! Looking great. Long and lean.
